Nice Hotel”

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was very large , clean and comfortable. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city centre. There were enough eateries near by to satisfy us. The hotel had no breakfast and served no food at all. ( No problem ) Upon arrival we were met by a Tour Service lady. ( Miss Thuy Nga , Mekong River Tour Service ) See arranged for a private small boat with a skipper and a tour guide to take us to the Floating markets and we toured the small canals and saw how the people live .This was the highlight of my trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. The cost was 60USD. We were met by the guide at about 6 AM at the hotel and returned at 2 PM. She also arranged to have our bus tickets to Ho Chi Minh City delivered to the hotel ( she also arranged for a small bus to pick us up at the hotel the next morning and take us to the bus station ) The hotel staff didn't speak much English , but, we got by. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would like to have stayed longer. We would stay there again.

there is a building site next door (may 2012) that creates significant noise. basic english from helpful reception. return of my misplaced credit card speaks volumes. very comfortable room with quality fixtures and fittings. recommended.

Big rooms and nice bathroom”

The hotel is new and there is some building work going on around it which did start quite early. This wasn't a big problem for us as we were up eary anyway but it was quite noisy. We stayed in a basic room, which had no window. The room was big and had a nice big bathroom with separate shower cubicle and was clean. The reception staff were friendly although spoke little english. we were able to communicate with them however and they sorted out our bus as requested for our ongoing journey. We arranged a 7 hour boat trip with them although I think they had arranged someone to come in to discuss the trip around the floating markets and to see a pllace where they made rice noodles and also some rice and veg farming and fruit gardens. It was $20 each and well worth the money.

for a new hotel rooms are bit worn and there were mould on the walls. staff don't speak english at all. location was good for us 10-15mins to riverside and to bus station as well.

Excellent hotel, huge rooms”

hotel room was huge, with flat screen tv, lots of cable tv channels, and excellent connection to free wi-fi. the reception also booked our bus travel to saigon for us (on a very comfortable bus). there are lots of shops and restaurants in are, but it's not the main tourist area. it is however about a 20 mins wlak to bus station.

Lovely hotel, mediocre location, basic english”

the rooms are very modern, clean and good value for money. we booked the room in advance via agoda and that worked out well. at first, they had a small problem finding the right booking number in their agoda account but the figured it out eventually. to be fair, we also only hand an electronic copy of the agoda-voucher, which probably made things a bit more difficult for them. the location is a little bit away from the center but you can easily walk there in about 10-15 minutes. the biggest downside of the hotel is that the staff does only speak very rudimentary english and the hotel seems to target primarily local customers. we did manage to communicate the most basic needs, but the language barrier lead to a small misunderstanding about the laundry, which they charged by piece although we had asked for the price per kg. however, the hotel manager was very cooperative and we agreed on a 50% discount and a fair solution in the end. overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the dong duong hotel and can recommend it if you are willing to do a little pantomime from time to time.

brand new hotel”

It's brand new hotel,so new that you can still smell fresh paint and few things were missing: tea pot and coffee cups but no water boiler!!! The hotel is 15 mns walk from any good restaurants as it is not in the central area. For the price we paid it was a great value for money. It will suit couple on their way to Chau doc,who don't want to spend too much and don't want to end up in a crappy guesthouse! The girl at the reception speaks just a few words of english, enough to order you a cab.

Nie mehr wieder!!”

uns wurde ein halb fertiges Zimmer gegeben ( Müll voll, Bett benutzt, Zigaretten im Aschenbecher), als wir uns beschwert haben und ein anderes Zimmer gefordert haben sah dieses noch schlimmer aus!!! Unsere Zimmer wurde dann nach meheren Aufforderungen geputzt. Das hotel hat einen ganz unangenehmen Geruch! Unsere ganzen Klamotten haben noch Tage danach so gerochen.Absolut nicht weiter zu empfehlen

Khách này này ngoài vị trị thuận lợi ngay trung tâm thì mọi thứ chỉ tạm được. Nội thất theo phong cách hiện đại nhưng khá cũ, phòng vệ sinh và tủ áo có mùi khó chịu tuy nhiên điều thất vọng nhất là nhân viên không niềm nở, nhiệt tình như mong đợi của tôi khi về miền Tây. Tại khách sạn cũng không có phục vụ bữa sáng. Đây là khách sạn chấp nhận được với giá tiền tại agoda.

fandt hotellet gennem agoda og de anmeldelser der var om hotellet virkede fine. der var dog bare det at det laegger ca 3 km fra centrum, hvilket faktisk er langt, naar man skal gaa hjem igen. der er barer og spise steder i naerheden. hotellet er nyere, men der traenger til enkelte finpusninger, som nok aldrig kommer. nabo bygningen var i gang med at blive bygget da vi boede der, saa der er en del stoj, hvis du er typer der sover laenge. synes at de var rigtige hurtige til at tage imod os i doren da vi ankom... som om det bare skulle overstaaes, saa snart vi sted ud af taxaen spurgte de efter pas osv. - lad os lige komme ind og smide taskerne, tak... ogsaa er der en som kan tale engelsk. selve vaerlserne er super, specielt wc/bad, som betyder meget naar man rejser rundt. hvis du lejer motor bike kan det maaske vaere billigere at finde et udlejningssted end gennem hotellet... det var en del dyrere
