Great location but not suitable if you have babies”

The location is very good and the decor in the rooms is beautiful. The rooms felt unique and you felt as though they were upper class due to the decoration. The room overlooks a small piazza with an ok view. We had 2 rooms which adjoined by a corridor leading onto a shared kitchen which was nice, however I would suggest the kitchen be supplied with breakfast items rather than having to go to nearby hotel in the morning which is again tricky to access for people with babies.
We had a baby and we didn't realise the rooms are at the bottom of a small yet steep staircase so getting a pram up and down was awkward. I would also say the stairs were dark on a night and could be dangerous for elderly or possibly intoxicated people when going down them. The room was lovely but things were broken, mainly in the bathroom (toilet seat, shower head etc) The closest parking is about 300m away, other hotels we stayed at in San Marino gave us a ticket so maybe something they should consider including. We asked about gluten free before arriving, San Marino in general is excellent for gluten free, especially in restaurants. When I contacted the hotel they said it was no problem for breakfast but all they had was a cracker or muesli selection senza gluten. Bread would have been a nice addition as the majority of the breakfast is croissants.

location was fairly central. apartment was a beasement with loud noises all night.
-no reception desk, it’s like an Airbnb and the host did not send instructions on how to access the lockbox prior to our stay so we were lost and went toThe Grotto hotel to give us a key, which was the wrong key and we walked into someone else’s unit. despicable. -I paid for an expensive call to the owner trying to find check in area, she was no use. she didn’t reply to my texts asking about which room although she had texted me first. -mould in bathroom, entire unit was underground with no window! hot and humid. there was a grinding noise either from a heater or water pressure or some other noise above - which prevented sleep. loud and it was like a boiler or generator every 15min throughout the night. absolutely not worth it to stay here if you value your sleep.

Very centrally located, clean room.. shared kitchen with the other rooms but we were the only guests so it was nice to have the place to ourselves!
The coffee maker and milk frothed hadn’t been cleaned so we scrubbed it so we could use it. There wasn’t dish soap so we used what we brought with us.

Location great, room fab, we had breakfast at La Grotta for 5 Euro per person, which was lovely.
I missed a text message from the host and when we arrived I couldn't get hold of the host. Was stressful getting in as a result.

very clean and large room, pleasantly decorated. Access to excellent kitchen facilities. Good security. Good value for money.
Base of sofa bed was extremely squeaky, the second night we put the mattress on the floor and this was much better and comfortable. The bathroom door and door of the room also squeaky…..it was definitely noisy in the morning from around 7am, due to its city location.

The actual location was initially hard to find we had to ask someone. Pls note it is down some stairs so not wheelchair or stroller accessible (not an requirement for us). The shower was unable to drain at a decent rate so it pooled by our feet for the duration of the shower which is not great.
