In the western region of the Cairngorms National Park, Loch Insh Chalets provide well-appointed accommodation at the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre. The centre offers a wide range of sports, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi in most accommodation types. Ski and snowboarding lessons can be arranged throughout the winter. Chalets of various sizes are available, and many have lake or mountain views. Each has a flat-screen TV with DVD player, and full kitchen facilities including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle and fridge. Bedrooms are complemented by a bathroom with bath or shower. The Boathouse Restaurant has stunning views of the Spey Valley, and breakfast is served here each morning. The Quarter Deck bar looks out over the loch and dry ski-slope and offers coffee and homemade scones as well as beers, wines and spirits. Windsurfing, sailing and kayaking are among the water-sports offered on site. You can also enjoy walking, mountain-biking, archery, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. The Loch Insh Chalets lie around 10 miles from Aviemore, and are around 1 hour’s drive from Pitlochry. The city of Inverness is 40 miles north of the site.

Breathtaking beauty and peace… until final day”

Beautiful location - view across to Cairngorms and chalet surrounded by trees. Chalet itself was well-equipped and comfortable
The only problem was on our last day there. Large school party arrived and children were constantly running back and forth along the path only a few feet away from our little garden - there was no privacy at all

It was a lovely setting with a small view of the loch through the trees from the lounge area. Bedrooms had views of the hills and mountains. The beds were comfortable. Everyone in the restaurant and bar were very helpful and pleasant. Very good equipment for hire.
Chalet furniture and kitchen were a bit dated. The 2 chairs that matched the couch had springs coming though so we used the cushions on them to sit on. This made the seat more comfortable. But everything was very clean on our arrival.

Beautiful views. Great location. Lovely restaurant. Nice playground. Lots of paths to use. Fantastic Animal park about 10 min drive
One of the bedrooms was stinking of cigarettes, smell on the first night was very strong, was hard to sleep. When I complained to reception , I was told they can&#39;t do anything, one of the ladys went to the chalet to check if is really stinking and advised us to keep window open. It looks like they couldn&#39;t see any major problem with that.We rented a chalet no smoking so it was a big problem for us. the kitchen tiles was falling off the wall. Chalets needs better clean , dust was on every piece of wood.

Disappointing and not up to expectations”

I liked the location. Close to Aviemore and good for the purpose of our trip. Other than that, not much else to like in the chalet
The chalet is needing a complete refresh. It was not clean, it had a musty smell which was probably down to the amount of pine there was which has probably been there for years. Furniture had seen better days, crockery was dusty, the grill pan was still dirty and full of fat from a previous guest, beds were uncomfortable, even my 4 year old grandson complained about his bed. The wet room was awful. Chipped and broken worktops in the kitchen and bathroom. All in all very disappointing. I would not use again.

beautiful scenery enjoyed from a cosy cabin :)”

we both enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony, hot tub and from the huge double window. the log fire kept the cabin super cosy and never felt cold even during the snow. Also appreciated the amount of towels available and the robes
the only problem we had with the property was very minor, some glasses&#47;mugs were still not clean and the shower temperature was inconsistent but other than these small things our stay was amazing.

Fantastic location. Chalet was superb. Everything that could be needed was supplied. Spotless.
We paid for a chalet with a hot tub. There was one and it was nice and warm but the jets didn&#39;t work. We advised staff who said they would send someone to look at it but they didn&#39;t turn up 😞

The location and staff were amazing here. We had Murray teaching us how to ski and he was excellent! The food was good as well, would recommend the chicken burger any day. The waitress was lovely as well sorry I didn&#39;t get her name! Chalet had all cooking facilities, a big fridge and dishwasher which was very good as 4 of us were sharing so we had a lot of dishes and who wants to clean while on holiday. Hot tub wasn&#39;t reaching temp, said to reception and it was fixed within a couple of hours! Super service. Heating was perfect as well.
We stayed in the chalet, it had everything we needed and was very spacious however I would say cleanliness could be improved ever so slightly. We had an empty juice can under our bed from previous occupants and it was very dusty. I almost felt like the bed sheets weren&#39;t up to scratch either, plus pillows very lumpy!
