Frustrating, Bad Management, Cash only”
So upsetting because I booked it through Agoda. When it was time to leave the staff wanted me to settle the bill in cash but told them that I had already paid online via credit card. They refused me to leave. I tried to show my booking details etc to prove that I had already paid but they still refused because they said they haven't got the money. So I rang Agoda in Singapore to get someone who spoke VN to explain to them about the payment. We also rang the hotel manager and he said in perfect English that I need to pay the bill but I told him I had done that already via Agoda. I told him that if he wanted international guests he has to start training his staff about how credit cards work online. (they don't accept c/c payment in most of Vietnam as it is a cash society mostly)It took me nearly 2 hours to do try and explain this to them. Luckily I didn't have to catch a plane back to Australia as I would have then missed my flight. So very bad management of the hotel on training staff and communicating with staff regarding international payments. This city is an industrial automotive manufacturing one with many international business dealing occurring in this town. Overall an extremely disappointing end of a nice stay in the hotel.
