A fine place to stay”

I've stayed here several times, and will do again - despite being 5 minutes walk from Euston Station, this is a haven of quiet (envy the students who normally live here!); and the choices for the full breakfast are unsurpassed. The price is exceptionally low for bed and breakfast for anywhere, never mind normally-expensive London. You are sharing toilets and bathrooms/showers (though each room has its own sink for washing); but they're kept clean, and each floor has enough that this has never been an inconvenience. There are also kitchens for each floor, again kept clean; and on this last visit, there was even a small refrigerator in the room itself! Highly recommended.

Great value for money”

I stayed at Passfield Hall in April 2022 for two nights in a single room. Being student accomodations, the place is pretty basic inside, so don't expect any luxuries. However, it was very clean, the room contained everything I needed, reception staff was friendly and helpful and the canteen served good and varied breakfast which was included in the price. Despite its central London location, the place was very quiet, I could not hear any traffic noise from my room. The only downside for me personally was that it had shared bathrooms and toilets, however, for the price I paid it would be unreasonable to expect en-suite facilities. All in all, it is a great value place in a great location. Euston station is just 5 mins walk, Covent Garden is around 20-25 mins walk. There are plenty of shops, cafes and take-aways within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.

4 nights in Passfield Hall”

I stayed for 4 nights in Passfield Hall and it was a great experience for me as a solo traveller in London. Location is walkable from Euston and King’s Cross stations. I chose the breakfast included and it was very worth it! Would stay here again when I come back to London.

Perfect for 1 day or 2”

I stayed at LSE just for one night on a Sunday as I wanted to be in central London. I don't know if this residence is as good on a Friday or on a Saturday. The location is perfect, very close to St Pancras International (15 min walk). I was allowed to leave my luggage before check in as I arrived in London in the morning. I was a solo traveler, my room was very small, a single bed an desk and a bathroom sink. Toilets and showers are outside the room. the building is noisy, we can hear everything from outside and the other rooms, so don't forget your ear plug. The breakfast is good, there is a bit of everything: English breakfast, Continental Breakfast, cereals...

Know what you're booking”

I booked to have a bed to crash in before a very early train from Euston. Don't expect the Ritz. It's has a hostel kind of feel, with shared kitchen, and shared bathrooms. There's more than one loo in the bathroom, and more than one shower cubicle (which are not just a curtain, actual little shower rooms). You can hear doors opening and closing, but luckily everyone turned in at a sensible time to allow for a decent sleep. I would consider staying again if I just need a bed for the night. Also, I felt secure whilst there.

Great Value - but there may be a lot of steps !”

I have stayed at Passfield Hall a couple of times and it is great value for money and a great location. Previously the breakfast was also a highlight - but the main kitchen is closed for alterations at the moment, although they do still provide a pretty good continental breakfast. My rooms before had all been in the main building - up a couple of flights of stairs, this time I was on the third floor of the Endesleigh Building, which involves a bit of a trek - usually no problem - but a bit of hassle with (very heavy) luggage - and no lift. So just beware if that could be a problem for you.

Basic, worn out room. Toilets and showers are shared and a lot of the toilets were out of order. There was no hot water in the showers. Breakfast was a really good buffet but very busy! A ver convenient London visit base”

We were delighted with our visit in an area of London we had not been in before. Easy walking access to tube and bus routes and quiet and safe feeling in the local environment with plenty of handy eating places. Please note that there are many stairs you might have to climb and some sections of Passfield Hall have no lift. The staff came to our rescue and reallocated us a ground floor, as being in the eighties getting about with all our overseas luggage would have been difficult. Generous breakfast and helpful staff.
