I came in late eventing and sang tolk me out for food and showed me some Nice places to eat. The next day he showed me around all over town since i was only staying two nights. And his mother and sister made the best food i've had in Vietnam so far. Warm amazing people! A must!

I enjoyed my stay at the Lu Khach Quan Guest House for several reasons. I felt very welcome by the family there. The breakfast was very good and available if and when I wanted it. The man who owns the house was able to sit and talk with me in English. The rooftop balcony has a nice view of one of the main streets. The bed was very comfortable. They did seem to have a problem with ants in my room. They were many places, but did not bite me so more of a nuisance than anything. I was also concerned with ringing the bell to get in or out, but it did not seem to bother the host no matter when I did it. Over all, I was very pleased with the guest house and the hosts.

A worthwile styay away from the trodden paths”
The Lu Khach Quan guesthouse can be highly recommended. It may not be located in the heart of a touristic centre, as Bien Hoa is very much an industrial and commercial city, but you will get the vibe of the real Vietnam. I spent there a few memorable days, the owner Sang and his family will go out of their ways to guarantee you an interesting homestay. In the vicinity of the city he offers several one and half day trips in the rural and semi rural areas. On the rooftop you have a nice view and breeze and there I enioyed some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever eaten. What I found fascinating was the the fact that I could count nine Catholic churches from there and there are dozens more. This part of the city must be the most Chistian area in Vietnam, I guess, and it was interesting to talk with Sang about the Vietnamese breed of Catholicism. It is worthwile to visit a Catholic mass, they offer them as early as 5 am! A guided tour to the market with an eager English student, followed by a Vietnamese cooking lesson with the owner’s sister is also a worthwile experience. So if you have time to spend a few days away from the normal tourists’ path, it might add value to your stay in Vietnam.

Very nice and affordable bed & breakfast”
I came to stay at this bed & breakfast to get away from Saigon and relax and I will definitely return in the near future, as my company does business in this area and I often come to Bien Hoa city on business trips. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and really goes out of his way to take care of his guests and makes them feel at home. He is a professional tour guide as well, so was able to show me all around the area and the many fun activities you can do in Bien Hoa. Make no mistake: Saigon is cool, but if you want to get away for a few days and relax in a much quieter atmosphere, Bien Hoa is only about 40 km away and it's well worth the visit. There is a lot of peaceful and natural beauty, like waterfalls and a very nice park. And Lu Khach Qaun guesthouse is a very comfortable and affordable place to stay. I highly recommend this place!

lovely family taking good care of you”
I liked staying in this hostel/B&B, the family is very friendly and i felt very welcome. The owner taked excellent care of you and is helpfull in organising anything you want from motorbikes to explore the city and around, bustickets etc. I went shopping on the local market with the sister of the owner and she showed me how to make springrolls. i just had a great time.

Wir haben dieses Hostel gefunden nachdem wir den Besitzer in Saigon kennengelernt haben. Das Hostel ist sehr sauber, hat sehr freundliches Personal und bietet auch klasse Tagesausflüge an. Wir haben 2 Tagesausflüge gemacht, bei denen wir auf Straußen geritten sind, einen Tempel besichtigt haben, bei einem großen Wasserfall gebadet haben und eine Schnapsbrennerei besuchten. Außerdem nahm uns der Besitzer des Hostels mit zu einer Tauffeier eines Freundes, wo wir mit den einheimischen zusammen das Fest genossen. Bei dem Zubereiten unserer Mahlzeiten waren wir meist selbst dabei und lernten die Vietnamesischen Kochkünste kennen. Auch die Zutaten haben wir meist selbst auf dem nahegelegenen Markt eingekauft. Wer also das richtige vietnamesische Leben kennenlernen will, ist in diesem Hostel bestens Versorgt.
