Beautiful Resort”
Mai Chau Ecolodge is a beautiful resort located in the middle of the Mai Chau valley. There are rice fields in-front of the bungalows and mountains all around. It is peaceful and quiet, only a few hours away from Hanoi, yet it feels like a different universe. There are no cars, you can hear the birds and insects, the wind in the trees, at night you can see the stars. The resort is clean and mindful of the environment. They try to save electricity and water where possible, and remind the guest to do the same. There are no TVs in the room, but there is Wifi. Unfortunately we had connectivity issues with the internet. The router is placed outside of the rooms, and is shared between two rooms. Due to the thick stone walls of the houses, the wifi signal cannot reach convenient locations such as the Bed. Signal keeps dropping or is at one bar connection strength. Please place one router in each room to avoid this issue in the future. The food is good, there is a wide range of options on the menu, which is the same for lunch and dinner. Some local specialities have to be ordered in advance. Breakfast has a lot of options, too, with some overlap of the standard menu. Fruit juices all come with extra sugar added, make sure to ask for drinks without sugar if you want to taste the natural fruit flavours. The pool is quite small, but in the light of eco-friendly hospitality, this makes sense. All rooms have air condition and a ceiling fan, the interior is very attractive and has some thought put into it. All in all, I had a great trip and would come again!

An unforgettable experience in Mai Chau Ecolodge”
Many of us travel from Hanoi, their location is in the mountain so you will need to give your driver a little heads up before getting off in the village of Mai Chau. Good views and nice facilities. Staffs here are friendly and English speaking. The food here is good value and clean. If only to complain, the SPA is not very professional but except that, everything is lovely. I have spent a good time there!

4th Visit and still a very happy guest”
This is the 4th time I have stayed at the Ecolodge in Mai Chau. I have taken my parents, friends, lover and wife their. Every time I go I'm surprised by the warmth and ability of the staff. The community of employees is excellent and they are cohesively and passionately learning how to run the estate with a growing charm. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable.

A relaxing retreat”
A great spot in the rice fields to relax in. Would definitely recommend getting a suite room with a private pool for best views and relaxation. The main pool offers little to no shade so the water is very warm and not all that refreshing. The gardens and rooms could do with a bit more maintenance, but overall it is a nice place to stay. Also, the staff are lovely and the hotel communication was very good.

The facility is very beautiful and natural. Also the staff is very friendly. However, the eco seems to stand for economy. The rooms are dirty and inhabited by cockroaches. A lot of dirt has accumulated, especially in the corners and under the tables. Also, the beds don't seem to be changed between guests. The pool has a very white cast (probably sunscreen).

Incredible location, lovely accommodations ”
We really loved our time at the Mai Chau Ecolodge. It was a long 3.5 hour trip to get there from Hanoi, but once we got out of the shuttle, we immediately saw that it was worth it. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is perfect. The views are fantastic and the rooms were gorgeous. The place was almost empty the whole time we were there (probably because it's so new), and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. There are free bikes for borrowing to ride thought the rice fields and around to the local villages, which was fun. They also put on a dance show in the evening (but put on bug spray- we got devoured!) which was really fun too. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we loved our time at the Mai Chau Ecolodge.

Amazing stay, wishing we stayed longer”
Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at Mai Chau Ecolodge, we only stayed for one night as part of our honey moon. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. The room was immaculate, spacious and very clean. The breakfast consisted of a great selection of hot and cold food. We were surprised by the quality of the bikes to use for a day out riding, they were Specialized mountain bikes and in good condition. The property was quiet and peaceful. This was the highlight of our honey moon.

Blissful escape”
My friends and i visited Mai Chau Ecolodge in late September and Mai Chau was is stunning form; lush, green and gorgeous. The Ecolodge is the best place to stay, offering a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere, with incredible views over the valley and the mountains surrounding it. The staff welcomed us on arrival and were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We made us of all the facilities (the pool, the free bike hire, the restaurant and the Spa) and after 3 days, left totally relaxed and slower than when we arrived. As a getaway from Hanoi, this is ideal, as a place to visit during your stay in northern Vietnam, it should be on your list!

The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fresh, local and delicious. If you're looking for a place to relax and reconnect with nature, look no further.

We had a fantastic stay at Mai Chau Eco lodge. The standard of food was very high. The staff were attentive without being over bearing. The Lodge and facilities were excellent. The Resort is very peaceful, maintained well and looks like more communal areas are being built. The surrounding villages r and town give you a taste of rural VIetnam. It would be good to have been given a map of the roads and village names for cycling, but we can find no faults with this accomodation and would return to Mai Chau. The staff are trying very hard with their English and they welcome guests opinions and take an interest in them.

Fabulous location. Wonderful people..”
Very pleasant. It is set in a beautiful location - fabulous views and great places to ride/walk to. The transfer to Mai Chau and back to Hanoi was strenuous and longer than we had expected. The room was great although little thnigs let it down - broken ceiling fan cord so couldn't change speed; bar fridge that turned on noisily in the middle of the night; verandah view of an electricity pole. The restaurant staff were wonderful - trying to learn English and to provide friendly and efficient service. But the place is receiving wrong advice to cater to a western audience, in that it is trying to be western - silver service in the restuarnt, western food etc. We wanted to experience best quality, local, Vietnamese food which was very limited on the menu, given the huge variety and deliciousness of local food we had elsewhere. But, it is new and the locals are learning - it is such a good place we hope it succeeds at being 5 star, but being local. We would return on a special deal - but I don't think people would pay the expected, full price with what is on offer.
