My boyfriend and I stayed in the lofted room 15. it was spacious, quiet, and dark at night. Best sleep all trip! We awoke to beautiful vistas of the surrounding mountains. Staff was extremely helpful and the free bike rentals made checking out the villages a breeze! The staff arranged for a golf 'taxi' cart to pick us up and drop us off at the bus stop. Very helpful.

Peace in the mountains”

Lovely location. There was no one who could speak English once the "guide" left, this made it difficult to know what was going on. All in all the staff were friendly. Food was fantastic.

Quiet alternative to the stilt house ghetto”

It is very difficult to find, so arrange something beforehand. Construction workers show up early in April 2015, so sleeping past 6 is difficult.

Mai chau bliss”

Very comfortable. Very peaceful and we learned a lot about rural Vietnamese life. The free bikes allowed us to explore the local villages without travelling on main roads. The local people were very friendly and didn't push us to buy things. The walk to the 1000 steps temple was a unique experience.

overrated and unimpressive ”

Authenticity was staged. The "family" environment was forced and they used a lot of buzz words to lure tourists. It is.not a homestay. It is not a family business and the service staff is only friendly if you agree to go on their packaged tours. If you do not take their tours they are very unfriendly and unaccomadating. When I asked for direcrions they only respond saying "the location is too far, but we can take you if you pay for the tour". The staff is unwilling to share information unless they will be paid for it.and once they label you as a budget traveler they become downright rude.

Beautiful stay in Mai Chau”

We went there on ourselves (not with a tour) and really enjoyed our stay. The people were helpful and the food was really great. Most of the travellers we met there came as part of a group and it was possible to join there activities for a reasonable price!

Sehr nette ziemlich große Anlage mit den besten Mitarbeiterinnen von allen Plätzen bisher. Es gibt kostenlose(nicht sehr gute) Räder und auch Roller zu leihen. Und am Wochenende ein super Buffet. Frühstücksbuffet ist im Preis enthalten - auch sehr gut und reichlich. Wir waren im Dorm, und das war schön. Man trifft reichlich interessante Menschen.
