A wonderful hotel”
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our kids. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. The room was big, bright and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious. We hired motorbikes from them, got our laundry done, stored our luggage here and booked a car back to Hanoi. Mr Duong was so helpful and nothing was too much for him. He gave us recommendations on where to explore and we even went to an amazing hot springs with his directions. This lovely family run hotel was so accommodating. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mr Duong and family.

Hotel with Gorgeous View”
We really enjoy our stay at this hotel. Owner and staffs are super friendly. Our Limo only dropped us off outside of town but owner came to pick us up for free. Hotel is clean, view is totally breathtaking, morning breakfast is huge and delicious. Hotel is walking distant to nearby village and town, cannot go wrong. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Mai Chau. Owner also helped us to book our return Limo back to Hanoi and the Limo picked us up right at the hotel. Their service is awesome.

Nice place”
Would stay again. Nice location. Clean rooms and surrounding. Kind staff with right attitude. Some noise from the street, but same thing with all places in town, if do not go for homestay in villages. Good breakfast and food is OK too. Next high class hotel has wider menu and local dancing groups some evenings. I booked my taxi/buss rides in/out directly from the hotel, good competitive prices and high quality.

Very comfortable. Huge bed. Nice balcony. Good view. The staff was fantastic. The tour they arranged for Pu Luong was just what we wanted. Hiking in the beautiful park Our guide Coung from the hotel was really great and interesting. Free bikes were always available for cruising around the rice paddies and villages.

Great view and lovely staff”
Staff were friendly and informative upon request. A great view of the valley from the balcony. Breakfast was good. Very clean. Balcony faces towards sunet. The main road is close by and so sitting put during the weekend is quite noisy with motorbike and car engines...as well as bus horns. Windows are fairly soundproof. Quiet at night for sleeping.

Very good”
The noise from the road construction was unbearable during the day time. But other than that everything was good.

Nice Place Operated by Good People”
Mai Chau is primarily a package tour destination, and most of the package tourists stay at the stilt house homestays in the villages. Those homestays are often very nice and a spectacular value for the money, but what if you've made your own way to Mai Chau and prefer a little more privacy than a homestay typically provides? Mai Chau has precious few options. Fortunately, one of those options is absolutely top notch. Meet the Mai Chau Valley View Hotel: almost as nice as the Mai Chau Lodge but many times cheaper. The rooms are extremely comfortable, generously sized, and have outstanding balcony views of the rice paddies and mountains. The internet is really exceptionally fast for hotel wifi - faster, actually, that I wanted or needed on my "escape from the office" unplugged retreat. It was so fast, in fact, that I streamed a movie in my room without it stopping to buffer once. The hotel serves delicious breakfast with many options. I had beef pho with a big serving of fruit one morning. I ordered banana pancakes with a side of bacon and another heaping plate of fruit the next. The dinner I ordered ala carte my second evening was also pretty yummy and just as good as the overpriced meal I treated myself to the previous night at the Lodge. And the staff are incredibly lovely. Mr. Dung, the owner, made me feel very welcome and enquired numerous times to make sure I was enjoying my stay. The girls behind the desk were friendly and cheerful, and they seemed genuinely delighted that I speak a few words of Vietnamese. Honestly, I can't recommend this place highly enough. Don't waste your money at the more expensive options at home. The Mai Chau Valley View works harder for your hard-earned cash and deserves it more.

A gem in Mai Chau”
The Mai Chau Valley View Hotel was the best hotel that I stayed in Vietnam, given that the price was very reasonable. My room was well equipped, spacious and clean. The view from the balcony was just amazing. The staff members including the owner were super friendly and helpful. I made a mistake and booked the wrong date and the owner was cool with that. The breakfast (included) was huge and delicious, I could pretty much order anything I wanted from the menu. I really enjoyed my stay at the Mai Chau and Mai Chau Valley View Hotel was part of the reason!

Amazing views and very hospitable staff”
Well, I can't say enough good things about this place. Mr. Duong, the owner, was so kind and helpful. He took us on a village tour via bicycle- was the most memorable experience during our northern Vietnam trip! What a fantastic experience in Mai Chau- much due to Mr. Duong and his sweet and kind staff! The rooms were nice and comfortable- the bed was awesome! Big and the perfect feel for us. Only 4 TV channels, but that's okay... You're in a retreat area anyhow! The food was wonderful- the best breakfast during our entire trip! The lunch was also fantastic- the papaya salad was so delicious, as we the other dishes we ordered. Highly recommend eating at the hotel, as the other local food we tried was not nearly as tasty. If you're planning a trip to Mai Chau then Mai Chau Valley View is THE place to stay!!!

Very nice small hotel”
This hotel "saved" me from a freezing cold homestay which had no sort of heating. I'm ok in hot weather but I don't do well when it's very cold. The homestay could only provide more blankets, not even a space heater, so I decided to leave and find a hotel with climate control. Luckily I found Mai Chau Valley View last minute, and it was perfect. The owner is very nice. The rooms are clean, the view is also very good. It's so close to Lac Village too, that still felt like I was there. There was heating in the rooms and hot showers. And the breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend staying here. They provide free bicycles to guests as well.

Perfect, really”
The balcony view of the neighboring paid fields and mountains is out of this world - one of the best places I've ever stayed. The owner Mr Duong is a local White Tai who used to work in the local hospitality industry (including as a guide), and he offers the best local knowledge you could want - be sure to ask for a copy of his hand drawn map! Mai Chau is gorgeous enough as it is, and Mr Duong and his staff at Mai Chau Valley View Hotel makes your stay extra special.

Friendly and Extremely Helpful”
A friend an I had a lovely long weekend at Mai Chau Valley View Hotel. Mr. Duong, the owner, planned some wonderful trips for us -- a hike in the local national park and a long hike that departed directly from the hotel. On the second hike, I lost my beloved sunglasses and he sent out a search party to look for them! We ate all our meals at the hotel -- since the menu was more or less the same as the other restaurants in the area, we enjoyed being "home" for our meals. Although the hotel is on the main road, the room was very quiet at night. The room was very light and had a nice view of the rice fields.

Manager very helpful and wife is a great cook!”
We read many reviews before booking this hotel and we're not disappointed. This is a small family run hotel in a gorgeous valley. We ate here daily, then loaned bikes and rode all around the area. We did not have enough time to visit Sapa so chose Mai Chau instead. We highly recommend this town to everyone. We rode for hours, we're greeted by children and locals everywhere and also walked the 1000+ steps to view the town from above. This destination was a highlight of our Vietnam trip! The hospitality shown to us by Mr Duong was beyond expectations. Food, room standard and location was more like 4 star. We would highly recommend booking this hotel with it's beautiful outlook over Rice fields.

Great hotel”
We had a very positive experience of Mai Chau Valley View. The owner was incredibly generous in showing us around the more secluded parts of the valley, and providing good advice for every aspect of our stay. The trekking tour he arranged for us further down the valley was just fantastic. The hotel staff were great, always available, always helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, only thing lacking was a kettle so we could make our own tea. Highly recommended

Breathtaking view from each room. The ownwer & manager was outstanding with his personal touch, like picking us up with our suitcase at the intersection, taking us on a bice ride through ricefields & villages etc. A really amazing stay, the best we have experienced during our 2 weeks traveling in Northen Vietnam. The rooms are spacoiuse (bed huge) and very clean. Food was deliciouse. It was great to be lazy & have a relaxing dinner just downstairs. We would anytime highly recomend Valley View in Mai Chau. A very beautiful relaxing place just 3hrs fm Hanoi”
It was really fun to go Mai Chau in a group or family. The hotel will introduced to you places to go & things to do, the staff even drew a map for us as we decided to rent bicycle & went for paddy field adventure on our own! The owner is a very friendly & nice so does the staff which are very attentive. everyone of them. The hotel is just next to the rice paddy field, facing the main road. If u only have 4 days to spare for Hanoi, definitely one day in Mai Chau will be a great choice! It's just to do relaxing stuff though, so bring some books or playcards (the hotel provided us theirs)& have fun!

Excellent Service”
We were trying to get a bus from Ninh Binh to Mai Chau and couldn’t find one because it was really last minute but the boss of the hotel helped us through and even personally picked us up in the middle of the crossroad where our bus alighted us and took us for a bicycle tour while explaining to us his village’s culture and history. The hotel was really clean and the views was 10/10! Highly recommend this place!
