Almost perfect place to be”
Location It was in the inner skirts of Mai Chau. More than more or less 20km from the town. Since its in the inner area, there are no shops nearby. The gas station is about 300m but not always available (maybe it was just my experience). Since its far from the noise of the town, I expected it to be quiet. Place Surrounded with nature. The front part is facing the farm, the back part is facing a lake and the mountains. Architecture is almost well built. There was a floating raft where you can eat, drink or hang out with friends. They have a small play area for the kids. Rooms My room was amazing! I love it. The view from the balcony facing the lake and the mountains. There was a table and chairs if you wanna eat there instead of the restaurant. You can chill and read a book while sitting on a bamboo chair. I had a lovely bathroom with tub. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The only negative about the place is its not sound proof. There was some very loud Vietnamese family who was up early and slept very late. They were very loud and the staff couldn’t do anything about it. I would have loved to stay more but it was useless if I cannot rest because of the loud and rude customers. Staff They were amazing and lovely. Food Its quite pricy and some have small servings such as the breakfast. Price I think its still worth the money. I would definitely go back there :)

Thank Mr.Hung for my wonderful experience in Mai Chau. I am so glad that I took his advice and booked the pick up service from Hanoi since the hotel is quite a distance away from the town center, locating in a small village and surrounded by mountains and rice-paddy field. That's why the hotel is perfect for relaxation and ideal to explore the untouched culture. I love riding a bike to explore the village in the morning and coming back in the afternoon to relax in the swimming pool. The hotel also offer a wide range of tours to nearby attractions but unfortunately I couldn't do all of them due to limited time. Staff was very helpful and spoke good English. I wish I could spend more time at Mai Chau Villas.

Relaxing stay in a Mai Chau village”
Loved this resort in a Mai Chau village. The cottages are decorated beautifully, and the garden and your own terrace are great places to relax. You can also borrow bikes from the resort and cycle around the neighbouring villages and rice paddies. The food (especially the bun cha) was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the resort is a bit of a trek to get to; a taxi to/from Hanoi costs about USD70. If you have time at your hands, you can also take a bus to Mai Chau and then a taxi to the resort.

We stayed for 2 days, location near Ban Lac and other famous views of Mai Chau and Moc Chau. Quite place, beautiful views, friendly staffs, free bycicle rent for clients. Will come back next time

Unique Experience”
The villa's location is definitely the main selling point. It is far away from the main touristy area, making the experience much more rustic and authentic. I thoroughly enjoyed the free bike rides around the area, taking beautiful photos of the awesome landscape. I definitely recommend bringing your own food or having personal transport to sort out your meals since the food at the villa can be rather expensive.

Worst stay in Vietnam so far!!!!”
First, I think the hotel does not have a well equipped kitchen. When we wanted to order food, half of the food from the menu we wanted were not available. Then the receptionist would tell us we could not eat at 6 pm. She made us wait until 7:30. This is unacceptable. I have never been told at what time to eat in any hotel. I stay often at Mai Chau Lodge and I never have problems there. I only stayed at Mai Chau Vilas because Mai Chai Lodge was full. I am so disappointed. Right now I am pregnant and I have a small child. The entire time we were always hungry, especially because your staff is very “STINGY” with food. This means they do not want to spend food on us, after we are paying a high amount to stay there. The last thing to be served was the juices which were the easiest thing to do, and then they would forget the dessert (fruit). I came back to Hanoi and in the 3 days I was at your hotel I lost 1 kilo!!! Do you think this is the way a hotel should treat their guests??? I have worked in hotels before, and I have to say this is the worst stay I have ever had. I have been treated better, and given more food in hotels were I paid $30 a night. Every night I would tell the receptionist I wanted rice, because I am pregnant, I really want to eat rice. They would bring my husband his dish, with a little bit of rice and then she expected me to share this with him!!!! How in the world is this possible? I had to ask twice for more rice. I mean rice!! the cheapest food in Vietnam! Everyday I had to ask the reception to clean my room, because they would not do it. I got tired of this and I stopped asking. We asked to eat in our room patio and she told us there was mosquitoes so it would be better to eat in the reception. Then the next day when a big group of Vietnamese people came, she said we cannot have dinner in the reception because there were too many people and we had to eat in our patio. DO YOU SEE THIS?!!! Perfect countryside retreat ”
This is the most charming resort set in the heart of rice fields, where we stayed in a villa with a huge bed. We also loved the spacious and gorgeously designed bathroom with pebbles on the shower floor, the breakfast, and the cordiality of a smiling staff. Great value for money!

Nice boutique hotel”
The nice thing about this hotel is that each is an individual cottage so it afforded much privacy and exclusiveness. But privacy does not mean peaceful and quiet. Right across the rice field where the hotel is located is an open concept karaoke bar where the patrons sing loudly through the loudspeakers that can be heard clearly where the hotel is. This however is not the hotel's fault but just a warning for those intending to seek some tranquility. However, it is located far away from everything else meaning you need to venture quite far away during the day if you want to explore, otherwise, there's nothing much to do in the hotel itself except to laze beside a very small swimming pool. Fortunately, there is a free evening song and dance program featuring the local women folks and you get to participate in the end too. There were 4 of us in our group and somehow the hotel got our requirements for breakfast wrong, meaning they prepared for 3 persons' portions when we have paid for 4 persons. After making it known to the hotel staff, only 1 of the items/courses came. The rest were not delivered resulting in us having to share and ending up still feeling hungry. This marred what would otherwise have been a nice stay.

We did have a great and relaxing stay, but we think that the high price (especially for Vietnamese standards) is not justified! Beside the expensive room rate be prepared to pay a lot for dinner, which is just average at most. Actually, our food was already cold when served. Very friendly staff!

A Real Taste of the Country”
This was a unique experience, even for a seasoned visitor to Vietnam. The staff were very polite and eager. The facilities are up o standard and the deluxe room had all you need to relax. The Aircom was good and necessary. If you like geckos, it was great also.

Peacefull and relaxable place”
Maichau villas is clean, peacefull. Staff are very friendly. However food is rather slowly reserved and rather high cost. Power cut happened so often during daytime.
