Find hotels near Mai Chau in Mai Chau (Hoa Binh), Vietnam

So we booked a room at mai chau hideaway and in the description, it says the room is having a bathtub. but when we arrived we got a room with a very small shower. Working in hotel&restaurant industry myself and I can say that the staff needs improvement. A big tips is that you do pre order your food for lunch and dinner caause it takes a good while for them. The superior room was small and since its in the middle of nature be prepare for big ass mosquitos, ants in bed and centipede. But the location was very nice, the infinity pool also. A peaceful place for a weekend getaway.

We really loved our time at the Mai Chau Ecolodge. It was a long 3.5 hour trip to get there from Hanoi, but once we got out of the shuttle, we immediately saw that it was worth it. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is perfect. The views are fantastic and the rooms were gorgeous. The place was almost empty the whole time we were there (probably because it's so new), and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. There are free bikes for borrowing to ride thought the rice fields and around to the local villages, which was fun. They also put on a dance show in the evening (but put on bug spray- we got devoured!) which was really fun too. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we loved our time at the Mai Chau Ecolodge.

Thank Mr.Hung for my wonderful experience in Mai Chau. I am so glad that I took his advice and booked the pick up service from Hanoi since the hotel is quite a distance away from the town center, locating in a small village and surrounded by mountains and rice-paddy field. That's why the hotel is perfect for relaxation and ideal to explore the untouched culture. I love riding a bike to explore the village in the morning and coming back in the afternoon to relax in the swimming pool. The hotel also offer a wide range of tours to nearby attractions but unfortunately I couldn't do all of them due to limited time. Staff was very helpful and spoke good English. I wish I could spend more time at Mai Chau Villas.

I had a perfect time at Sol Bungalows. Highly recommended this place to those who want a relaxed vacation in Mai Chau. I had the best view from my room (Room 7). Relaxed atmosphere, really helpful staff, clean room. If there is anything i could change to improve the place then it would be the food (which tastes very average to me) and the mattress (could be due to personal preference since i like slightly softer mattress). I still give good credit to the restaurant since the chef went the extra mile to prepare food (not in the menu) for me. All in all, it's a great experience.

Perfect location away from the noise and crowds of Mai Chau town. Lac village is charming and absolutely beautiful. We were here for two nights during the rice harvest and loved seeing the farmers work their land. We suggest biking and exploring the nearby smaller villages too, which were even more charming! We rented a motorbike and went an hour drive to see the Hmong villages, which was quite the adventure! We got a flat tire after we returned into town (thank goodness we didn't get stuck in the mountains!) and the Lac villagers were so willing to go out of their way to help us. After explaining the situation to the staff at the hotel, they were very accommodating and understanding and took care of the motorbike for us. A big thanks to the staff and managers - We can't recommend this place enough!

Four of us stayed in two rooms and love it here. In the middle of the market, but far enough so you don't really hear the noise. The rooms were clean and sceneries were gorgeous. Best of all was the wonderful staff, who worked hard to be sure our stay was comfortable and fun. Linh, the all-in-one staff, was just excellent and super friendly. The food was also very good, and generous. We visited the "higher end" eco lodge to use their swimming pool and found the Mai Chau Sunset to be much better, so we had no regrets staying here. Absolutely recommend this place!

the mai chau nature place is a tiny resort of around 10 bamboo bungalows, in the middle of the rice fields, a bit outside of mai chau town. it is a lovely setting, for a short escape from crazy hanoi. the bungalow are very basic, but still comfortable. no hot water in mine but i guess i did not switch it on. the food served at the resort is actually pretty good ( person). it is possible to borrow bicycles at the resort, and the "lac" neighbourhood of mai chau, with its guest houses and little chops selling textiles and clothes is at walking distance. the staff was very nice and friendly.

Mai Chau is primarily a package tour destination, and most of the package tourists stay at the stilt house homestays in the villages. Those homestays are often very nice and a spectacular value for the money, but what if you've made your own way to Mai Chau and prefer a little more privacy than a homestay typically provides? Mai Chau has precious few options. Fortunately, one of those options is absolutely top notch. Meet the Mai Chau Valley View Hotel: almost as nice as the Mai Chau Lodge but many times cheaper. The rooms are extremely comfortable, generously sized, and have outstanding balcony views of the rice paddies and mountains. The internet is really exceptionally fast for hotel wifi - faster, actually, that I wanted or needed on my "escape from the office" unplugged retreat. It was so fast, in fact, that I streamed a movie in my room without it stopping to buffer once. The hotel serves delicious breakfast with many options. I had beef pho with a big serving of fruit one morning. I ordered banana pancakes with a side of bacon and another heaping plate of fruit the next. The dinner I ordered ala carte my second evening was also pretty yummy and just as good as the overpriced meal I treated myself to the previous night at the Lodge. And the staff are incredibly lovely. Mr. Dung, the owner, made me feel very welcome and enquired numerous times to make sure I was enjoying my stay. The girls behind the desk were friendly and cheerful, and they seemed genuinely delighted that I speak a few words of Vietnamese. Honestly, I can't recommend this place highly enough. Don't waste your money at the more expensive options at home. The Mai Chau Valley View works harder for your hard-earned cash and deserves it more.

This place is just set in the middle of some rice fields - surrounded by mountains and filled with warm and welcoming people. The view from our balcony was simply beautiful - the food was delicious. For 100.000 you get to eat their fresh cooked food together with other guests. Mai Chau at the weekend fills up with Vietnamese tourists which makes it a good place for socializing and getting in contact with locals. Thank you and see you again! :)

We were offered the delux double room upon arrival and it was amazing. Beautiful views of misty mountain tops and rice paddies in the breeze. Has a porch and your own bathroom too. Also the food they offer is great. They cook you local food but they also know things like westerners don’t like eating bones in their fish ;) a bit of a rarity in this beautiful country. Everything was perfect really but unfortunately, when you book one bed, it’s only for one person while Agoda states one bed is “max 2 guests”. We didn’t make much of a fuss because it’s still great value but it was a bit of a downer to end up paying double the price you thought you would. Also it’s nowhere near mai chau town which is why I liked it, for the seclusion.

Booked online and not sure the family knew we were coming, but they accommodated us perfectly when we arrived. Beautiful location and house! The second night they made a delicious dinner for us which was reasonably priced; it seems they may have done this the first night if we had gotten in before they went to the market in the afternoon. While the family's English was limited, we were able to communicate and they got us a local guide for a day hike and were generally quite friendly, though due to the limited English we couldn't get other local information from them. It would have been nice if we had been able to cook with them- as we saw at other homestays- but it seems that may be something you have to be proactive about. In short- very nice experience!
