Wedding Night Suite”
Wanted a nice hotel stay for our wedding evening in Glasgow City Centre and Malmaison made it an unbelievable stay. We were upgraded to a suite and shown amazing hospitality. We enjoyed the breakfast and were really disappointed we couldn't enjoy the hotel facilities longer. All class Malmaison.

Perfect destination for our mini honeymoon to Scotland ”
Loved this hotel, staff were super friendly, decor and building were beautiful and our room was luxurious. We had a lovely congratulations card, and 2 free glasses of champagne on arrival plus a updgraded room be celebrate our wedding, which made us feel very welcome and was a lovely gesture. Thank you so much! We'd love to come back here in future. Glasgow is an incredible city - perfect for an alternative trip away.

Far Exceeded my expectations”
Super hotel, perfect location, well appointed rooms, caring and efficient staff, nice restaurant and lovely bar. I reported after departure that I had lost a cufflink somewhere in my room, and this was promptly discovered and airmailed tom y home in Hong Kong: very impressive service indeed. Would recommend this hotel strongly to even the most discerning traveller and would stay again on any future visit to Glasgow. Only minor niggle was the absence of a room safe requring me to carry around all my valuable in a rucksack, but then nowhere is perfect!

Nice boutique hotel”
Very nice hotel located relatively close to the city centre and main railway stations within walking distance. Room was clean and has all amenities, including a large bathroom. Breakfast was very good quality cooked to order, as well as a buffet and good continental selection. Hotel staff were friendly.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel”
Lovely stay at the Malmaison, lovely design, great breakfast and good value for money. Only gripe was we asked for a wake up call which never materialised so make sure you have your own alarm!

Great stay”
Arrived at the hotel late in the evening after choosing to haul my suitcase up a steep hill so I was really tired and snippy with the gentleman checking me in. He, on the other hand was even keeled, courteous, and quite professional, which served to calm me down. During my five day stay, the entire staff proved to be delightful - friendly and knowledgeable about places to visit and how to get there. Hotel is lovely - room was modern and upbeat though my view was obscured by walls of the building next door; bits of the past was evident in the spiral stairs leading from the bar up to an old organ loft, and the balusters depict Greek Orthodox scenes reminiscent of the hotel's history. Enjoyed my visits to both the bar, and restaurant for breakfast (learned restaurant was formerly a crypt😱 ). Easy walk to shopping and downtown action. Left my scarf when I checked out and the staff mailed it across the "pond" at no cost to me. Would absolutely stay there again.

Artistic in Glasgoe”
Our stay at Malmaison was good on the whole, though I would comment that our particular room was relatively noisy as our window faced indoors onto the restaurant/bar of the hotel and we could hear the noises of the bar until late at night.

Glasgow is a fabulous vibrant city. ”
I was in a noisy room next to the recycling bottle bank. I was really disappointed with food orederd on room service. When it arrived my club sandwich was cold, bland and sparse. The fries appeared like the bottom of the basket fragments. The salad garnish looked like it had been recycled from another plate. The cheese and biscuits were seriously overpriced for the quality/amount provided. Never experienced such poor qualty in other Malmaison hotels.

Great stay ”
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and couldn't do enough for you. The room was very clean. The room had lots of things we were not expecting such as an iron and ironing board, and lots of sky sports channels. The shower was very powerful and hot, just what you want.

Stylish and friendly with a touch of fun ”
One of the earliest boutique hotels which we've stayed in from time to time over the years. Happy to benefit on this occasion from the Agoda rate and to find the hotel still running sweetly. Staff were welcoming, efficient, responsive. Unusually good breakfast buffet. Only negative was the lack of air conditioning in our room (an electric fan was available in the wardrobe).

Family wedding”
We met with other members of the family coming from all different areas of UK. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very pleasant with a very comfy bed. The walk in shower was ideal. Breakfast was perfectly served by very helpful staff. The only down side of our room was the noise from the boy racers through the small hours.

Room was modern and clean. Floor was very creaky all over. Awoken at 7.30 by a wood chipper. ”
Hotel was nice enough but I wouldn't return, didn't feel the room was worth what I paid. I had emailed requesting how much it would be for champagne and a card for my wife's 30th and I was emailed back asking for my reservation number I sent it back and had no reply to which I assumed they must be doing something complimentary so I didn't ask further. But there was nothing which I was a bit annoyed about because I would have paid for something if I knew. Also a break away from our 3 kids we were hoping for a long lie, but we're woke at 7.30 with workers out the back operating a wood chipper for trees that had been cut and it sounded like the machine was in the room and it continued for a couple of hours, I don't know if this is somethin the hotel had organised or a neighbouring building but 7.30 on a weekend is not ideal.

Dear Colin, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had the best experience with us. It's particularly disappointing that your request for some champagne was not followed through correctly. We like to help our guests celebrate special occasions by helping organise gifts to be in the room or by delivering a card & some drinks vouchers to mark the occasion. I will investigate this with our Central Reservations department to see were the breakdown in communication has come from. The noise you heard from a wood chipper was not organised by the hotel. This was work carried out by Glasgow City Council which unfortunately we were not made aware of until they arrived in the morning. There is a noise pollution law that states they should not have commenced work until after 8am. I do hope we are able to welcome you back in the future to restore your faith in our hotel. Best Regards, Graham
Excellent”
Great hotel and room, and very clean. The corridors within the hotel and the old building creates a cramp atmosphere, but the reception, restaurant and bar were quite spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Incompetant”
Though our room was beautiful, I was very disappointed with one particular member of staff. There was a balding gentleman at the computer when we checked in, he didn't lift his eyes from his computer while we struggled in with our suitcase and barely glanced at us as he checked us in. Unfortunately, my mother took ill while we were at the hotel. We informed the front desk and they gave us a later check out and one young woman brought up a cup of tea which was thoughtful. My mother ended up being taken into hospital and when I returned to the hotel to check out I told them very specifically that my mum would be coming to find me within the hotel after being released from the hospital. I specifically told the front desk staff that my mum was ill and that I would be downstairs in the hotel cafe waiting for her. When my very ill mother arrived, they told her that I had checked out and left the hotel. She ended up having to rush to the washrooms to be ill and saw me waiting for her.

Dear Paula, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I'm sorry to learn that your mother had taken unwell when you were with us, hopefully she is feeling a lot better and is on the road to recovery. All feedback whether positive or constructive is vitally important for us a business to help us maintain the high standards of service our guests expect to receive and that Malmaison as a company are renowned for. It is unusual for us to receive such feedback regarding our service as typically we do score very highly in this area all across our review platforms. Whilst it’s disappointing, it is very helpful for us to hear any observations and have an understanding of guest experience to allow us to communicate your comments to our staff, and also to address service shortfalls or training opportunities. I do hope we are able to welcome you back again in the future. Best Regards, Graham
Great hotel”
