Mango Valley Hotel 5”
We got upgraded to Mango Valley Hotel 5 as Mango Valley 3 is a dedicated quarantine hotel. We called the hotel before arrival and was advised to go directly to 5. The staff are exceptional, they tend to your every request right away. We had to extend a lot of times and they were hospitable enough to let us stay in the same room and even offered complimentary breakfast for 2. We had problems connecting to the internet when we got there and they immediately changed our room.

Our room reservation was upgraded for free due to a glitch in their booking system. The room was impeccably clean. Water pressure in the bathroom is good, AC cooled fast, there was a mini-fridge, pillows are the best, sheets are clean and fresh. However there was no grab bar / safety bar in the bathtub. Also water spills on the floor when you use the shower because there's a gap between the edge of the bathtub and the glass wall covering it (that should prevent water from splashing / dripping on the bathroom floor. There was also no bath mat provided. During breakfast, they were shorthanded (maybe because it was January 1st). Food warmers took forever to be refilled, tables were not immediately cleared. There was only 2 staff attending to everyone at breakfast. But overall, it was a good stay. Imperfect, yes, but still comfortable and pleasant.

We actually stayed in Mango Valley 5 since Mango Valley 3 was used as quarantine hotel and was being disinfected. Mango Valley, being a new hotel, is not yet completely finished. However, the staff more than made up for it since they were very accommodating ang considerate, very helpful. We requested for a room change and were given a room which was very spacious and with wide windows. We will surely come back to this property. Thank you.

Internet rubbish”
Hi sorry to say this but do not rely on using the hotels internet . Its been months now and it looks like it should be good as they have many WIFI routers throughout the hotel split across the rooms but it is a poor service when it work and that is not very often. TAKE YOUR OWN if you need internet

Minor improvement needed”
There is completely no cloth hooks or hangers in the toilet/bath. The tap spout is to short and near the edge of the basin, thereby water spilled over to the counter top in the bedroom and overflow onto the floor whenever you need to wash something in the basin.

Internet booking did not go well - booked for 1 night but what pushed through was for 2 nights. Requested if we could change the booking since we would not be staying for a second night as we were leaving immediately after the funeral - did not get any response from management on this. They did accommodate our request for rooms at the first floor since we were traveling with senior citizens. But a big disappointment during check out - we were billed for a meal we did not order. When we clarified we did not order anything as we were out most of the time attending a wake and a funeral, front desk and housekeeping did not believe us. We had to insist that we actually paid for 2 days and already leaving after the 1st night - we have paid more than what they were holding us for. Front desk said we paid to Agoda and not to them (and thus that did not count???) Definitely not a good experience.

Mango Valley 3 has spacious rooms, comfy beds (make sure you ask for a single queen bed). However, there seems to be the faint aroma of smoking inside some of the rooms, even if they're designated non-smoking. The first room I asked for smelled like it, plus i got twin beds (not the single queen bed I requested when I booked), so I asked for a transfer. The next room I got was better. Harborpoint Mall is walking distance, so easy access to restaurants. Would love it if the rooms could at least offer a hot water kettle for morning coffee.

Stayed in Room E5. Good points: value for money, clean, secure, honest and polite hotel staff. Points to improve on: Moisture on the floor (on the right side of the bed and under the sink near the bed), water leak by the window when it rained. The shower curtain /the shower rod is too high. Lastly, it’s a no-smoking hotel, but was quite surprised that the room and corridors smelled of smoke. Apparently, there were foreign visitors at the ground floor smoking outside their units, and the smell of smoke had travelled to the upper floors.

The GOOD: It is within the CBD, which is near access to mall, restaurants. Great Hotel for athletic events. The BAD: The hotel lacks the following: cabinet, refrigerator, which is mostly essential in most hotels.

a decent place to stay in SBMA. clean rooms, basic amenities, with TV and aircon, all are working properly (water heater, aircon, etc.), water pressure is satisfactory. near main gates, near banks and Royal duty free shop and Ayala mall. staff are courteous, but reception lady doesnt know how to smile. thank =)
