Great place to stay with good parking ”
Staff friendly,clean,good secure parking, Close to public transport, good location, nice clean new bathrooms, good size beds very comfortable. Would stay there again any day.

Value for money”
We requested a room with two single beds and they were spacious and comfortable. We had a large desk that span the width of the room with large windows for a bright outlook to the courtyard in between the buildings. Reception were all friendly and efficient. The bathroom and room were very clean. Lots of different common areas to sit or meet up. The only minor downside was that the carpark was in the adjacant building but it was only a minutes walk between the buildings. Highly recommended.

Nice and clean hotel”
Over-all hotel is clean as well as the room. We have a very nice room with mountain view. Buffet breakfast is good serve all the basic food we are after for a breakky.

I find this place is good value,, clean, comfortable bed, helpful staff, can park free in local streets, is quiet inside despite being just off main highway, is close to tram, if you don’t eat in and the local coffee shop is closed then it’s a 15-20 min walk / 5 min drive to other food venues

Clean/ok location/need more facility”
Stayed for 8 nights. There is a new high rise building construction happening right now so 7am the banging starts (2022/10). If you want to sleep in probably stay elsewhere for 2022/2023. Hotel is clean. Staff friendly. Have a gym. No pool though which is a downside. Tram right outside the hotel which is convenient, but I find it expensive for a one stop travel. If you travel all day multiple times it works out cheaper. Location : it’s not in the city centre. About 3 km away . $12 on Uber. 15 min on scooter. I travelled on scooter. Weekly pass is cheap. Easier to get around close by areas. Dickson is close by which I visit daily by scoot. Nothing much around mantra. So must go out further to eat . Have not tried restaurant in mantra so can not review. Easy with giving late check out as I travelled during school term. Off peak season. Stayed here as it’s close to the sport ground I visit.

Modern, and very clean (looked new). No weird smells! Comfortable bed. Reasonably quiet, a little road noise. Could do with an instruction leaflet on using the car park.

We got a joining room with 2 king beds. It was fantastic!! Perfect for two couples as they were joined by a hallway. Would recommend for any couples travelling together.

Small rooms but modern and clean”
Unfortunately since covid the restaurant and bar are now closed, but the Pavilion across the street has one. Parking is $15 a day or on weekends park on the street for free. Good showers. Light rail out the front. Bit of traffic noise I had never noticed on previous stays, but not disturbing. Staff were good.

New Hotel in Canberra”
Just spent 6 nights at this new Mantra Hotel. Very friendly at reception and at dining. Quiet, very clean and comfortable, good food (limited range) in cafe/restaurant, gym, and close to light rail stop (2 stops south to Lonsdale St or 1 north to Dixon for wide range of restaurants and shopping.

I was annoyed that the 24 hour reception was unmanned when I left. They made such a big deal about this facility during my stay. Judging by the number of keys there had been no one all night. There were 3 hanger on an open rail for two peoples clothes. The room was poorly designed and it was necessary to keep moving things. More thought is required about how someone actually uses the room rather than what it looks like.

Nice modern, clean rooms. Great view from those on the 8th floor. No f&b available in the hotel which was communicated in advance so not an issue. Very good value (around $100pn for a twin room). Late checkout was provided FOC which was appreciated. Can recommend for single or corporate travellers. Hotel is very close to the over priced light rail that doesn't really go anywhere if you're into that, otherwise ride share is cheap and readily available in the area.

It was fine but not very good. It doesn’t give a feel of relaxation. Parking wasn’t as expected and expansive than other hotels in Canberra. We had to stay there coming back from Thredbo so booked it on urgent basis. It was all pre paid through Agoda but still they asked for 100$ as Bond money. Like seriously we lived in 4.5 star Canberra booked the same way but they asked for 1 dollar security money only. l We pre-paid 144 then they asked 100 for security LOL like seriously??? Won’t go there again. Had to go out of the building then had to go to an other building for parking then had to come back. Thanks

Nice clean place. Unfortunately restaurant was closed during our stay and no minibar. If you have a car you have to pay for parking in the underground public car park at $15 a night. Overall, satisfied with our stay.
