For the price, it is comparable to next door more expensive hotels. If you can, ask for the room with a beach view but if you don't get the view, the beaches are not to far away and it is definitely worth while staying out all day as Catanduanes is beautiful. It is a pension house and not a resort thing, so don't expect nice lounge areas to chill for the night. Service is great and the staff really do want to help. We stayed here because they had large rooms for groups of 4 to 8 persons.

I was not going to book this Hotel because of the name. It implies that its for old people in my mind I thought it was a boarding house for pensioners. But it was a great hotel looked after my girl like a princess, nothing was to hard. Close to everything, meals were fabulous and very reasonably priced. good value accommodation, free pick up and drop off to airport :) all good HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

I loved how the staffs were during my stay. They are very hands on to their guests especially if you're a first timer, they will provide everything you need during your stay there, I mean all! My favorite place there is the restaurant, I love being there at night, those frames and souvenirs in the wall, dim lights just good, the music, the chairs and tables...just cozy! I would definitely stay there on my second visit in Catanduanes, highly recommended!

Excellent stay”
We stayed for 2 nights here, and Sir Lex and his team were truly accommodating. They are very friendly and very approachable. The hotel is just a short drive from the airport, the rooms are spacious, facilities inside the rooms are great. (We book the family suite, with a bath tub!). They have different set of tours depending on the kind of adventure the guests want at a good price. Food is good too. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Stayed here overnight from Baras/Puraran. It is one of the old time accommodations in town! Location is best, right at the town center, across Provincial Capitol and near Tourism Center/Museum. Walking distance to fast-food and ATMs! They helped us book for a Virac beach day tour,

Booked two family rooms. Room is spacious, 2 single beds & 1 double. Has a tub, but water pressure is weak. We used pail & our own tabo. Rooms were at 3rd flr, and stairs a little steep with uneven heights of steps. Room lighting too dark, & since it's a basic pension house, guest must bring and consume their own shampoo/soap/oral hygiene kit. Free hot & cold water to drink at ground floor.

Technically speaking it is within the city center. Everything is 2min away. City is a very safe place if you wanna walk. One of the lowest crime rate i believe. Originally i stayed on the 3rd floor but requested to be transferred on the ground floor on my second day due to lavatory not working on my previous room. Rooms on the ground floor are good. I just don't like the lighting on the rooms. Quite dark for me but maybe good enough for some people.

the location is in the center of Virac so it is very good. its good for solo traveler since its cheap but of course you get what you paid. the bed are okey its just that the CR is kind a not clean.

I would recommend this hotel. Its perfect if you are looking for a nice place to stay. Air conditioning works well and our room is clean. They allow us to check in early around 1130 am even the check in time is at 2pm. They also have water dispenser on the lobby. Its just that there is no mobile and wifi signal on the room that was given to us. (Room 206) Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

I have checked in here 5 years ago with my family and the place was nice and clean. So i expected that it must be a nice place to come back with. Expectations went to the ditched. When I saw the bathroom shower curtains looked like never washed or changed mold on all over it. Bathroom faucet was barely working. No complained on the air-conditioned except one time when i asked the front desk lady to put a floor mat in the bathroom, the airconditioned was left so when we cale back it would be cool inside, but then It was unplug on the wall sachet unhappy because we have to wait to cool the room again.

Exploring Virac staycation”
We book for 4 nites stay family suite room. On the first nite, we cant sleep due to noisy sound of vehicles passing by on the street. We ask for a room transfer to a room not along the street on the remaining stay but no room available. It's good that the hotel give us an option for a refund and recommended us a hotel to stay for surely pleasant sleep. We highly appreciated this move. For its amenities the hotel must improve. They didnt provide a complimentary water to drink but instead ask us to buy for a reason that they are not a hotel but an apartelle, I dont know what's the difference on this.

2 Night stay at Marem for an online work”
The room has Very poor internet connection even in lobby area. Our work assignment wasn't done due to this issue. Internet wifi connection should not be advertised in Agoda. if it can't be delivered. Bed is not a spring bed or of a kind but a foam which is so uncomfortable to have a good sleep. Senior citizen is not advised to choice this hotel , as it has no elevator to lift your luggage.
