PERFECT LOCATION - FOR US”
we chose Mariposa for proximity to our family - only hotel for miles. We found the staff to be very polite and spoke english - a great plus for me being an american. We requested a large bed and no smoking and was approved - room was nice - small - but very comfortable but for being at front of building and street noise - still okay. No free coffee - that is okay - hot pot for boing water. Food available very inexpensive but I did not try as I do not like pinoy food. Plenty of nearby malls especially SM Taytay opens at 10am and there is a 7/11 next door for early morning coffee. Trike rides are inexpenisve. We asked for an extension as our flight was later that evening and received at very reasonable fee. WIFI was free and excellent.

Staff were friendly and the rooms were kept clean. Close walking distance to the SM mall on one side and walking distance to the market on the other side. Building is secured and safe.

Best Deal in the area”
This is a budget hotel, meaning the price is low and there are no real amenities on the site. However, with the SM mall just down the block, (a busy block), you have everything you really need very close by. Walking in the other direction there is an open air market, and other shopping opportunities. There is ample parking in the back and some in the front, and the staff are very helpful. Enjoyed my stays! 3 times.

Nice interior but lack basic amenities”
It was a pleasant stay sans the lack if soap, shampoo, and toothbrush. What was provided was a diluted bodywash. Lacks parking space as well but they were immediately able to provide after 10 mins. It was ok for an overnight stay as it was near the taytay tiangge.

Hit and Misses”
Pros: 1. The hotel staff has been polite throughout our stay and attended all our enquiries timely. The security in particular was very very kind and nice. Always helping us with our luggages even when it rained! 2. Location is ideal. Walking distance to TayTay Tiangge so even if you shopped late you could get back easily. Cons: 1. I had no idea why when I checked in they wanted to take my passport out of the hotel to photocopy. I think cause they didn’t have a photocopying machine on premises? Thankfully they settled for a picture of my passport eventually. 2. Wifi was intermittent. Like we checked in the afternoon enquired on the lack of Wifi by night we still had an issue. 3. There is no hot water. We feedback on the hot water on both days we stayed. The hot water lasted like 1 minute or so then it goes back to being cold. In summary, I think if you stay here you need to be prepared that it’s not going to be the most comfortable stay.

Good place to stay, except for street noise”
Having read some of the previous reviews, I came with a little hesitation, but found this to be a great little hotel. The street noise was as bad as predicted, but I am used to that at home. With the exception of a rather brusque receptionist, the staff was excellent, including their maintenance guy who fixed a plumbing problem promptly.

Not for tourists”
Stayed the hotel 1 night after seeing good reviews. However, we were so disappointed. The stuff in the room are said as "sanitized" but most of them are not clean. We needed to wipe before using table, shower curtain is with alot of molds, water is leaking from bath room. We chose non-smoking room, but the room is smelly. Will not stay this hotel again.

Avoid this property”
Wifi was unstable for first day and a half, and did not work AT ALL for the last 2 days of my stay. Staff were unhelpful to say the least, and did not lift a finger to solve any problems. Definitely NOT recommended.

Pleasant Surprise”
I stayed at the Mariposa for 2 nights because it was close to my destination. very clean and modern hotel with hot water. Walking distance to SM TayTay, market and restaurants, with 24 hr convenience store next door which served food as well Very friendly staff who spoke English and breakfast was delivered to room, early, hot and delicious.

A Good Stay”
My husband and I stayed there for two days. Upon checkin, they welcomed us warmly. I booked via Agoda and everything was a breeze. Entered our room on the 7th floor and the room was clean and decent, except for the almost-nude-mens-magazine near the bedside table. If we brought with us our kids, it’ll be a downside. We were expecting toiletries but all we had in the bathroom is a liquid dispenser- we don’t even know if its a hand soap, body wash or shampoo. Shower was find but it takes a while when water switches to warm from cold / vis a vis. During sleep time, we can still hear noises from the outside. It wasn’t really that terrible and we were able to sleep. What I like best is their fast service. If you get thirsty at night, a water dispenser is outside each lobby. Food is also readily available with around 10 meal selections only. Snacks (noodles and junkfoods) are also available. We can also order via McDonalds with no corkage fee. Everything was a breeze upon checkout and Manong Guard (on duty on Nov20) was very friendly. Will go back to Mariposa. 👍🏻

Value for the money...”
This hotel may not be 4 star but for budget traveling it gives high value for less money. Room is good and service from staff is good to. With 24/7 service you can get help at any time and served food or drinks in room. The area the hotel is placed is noisy and hotel have many guest that only stay there half day or only 1 day, so lot of check in and out. I did have trouble with WIFI in room but it was fixed fast. There may not be much in area to see but it is not far from metro Manila. SM Taytay is in walking distance from hotel.
