Worth it for more than a day”

Great apt! We were only in London for a day and it had everything and more that you could need. Very clean and in a great location. Only recommendation would be to remind some of their front desk staff that they work in the hospitality industry where being kind to your guests goes a long way as they are usually the only person they interact with.

Great kitchen to cook as well as close to local eateries. ”

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment on the 5th floor. Pros 1. The kitchen is well equipped: stove, oven, fridge and dish washer(but we only used it to store hand-washed dishes and cutlery), stone table top(for sink area too) was easy wipe. 2. Close to supermarkets: Tesco Express just down stairs, Sainsburys is 5mins walk, M&S 10mins walk. 3. Choices of eateries: 5mins walk to local Fish & Chips(made from fresh potatoes), 10mins to Borough Market and London Bridge, 3mins walk to Tabard Street Market for lunch, Domino pizza order online. 4. Close to public transport: Borough tube is 3mins walk, London Bridge tube is 10mins walk, Buses are 1-3mins walk. 5. Easy to use washer+dryer Cons 1.No work desk in the apartment so had to use the small dining table. 2.No hot water on 2nd night but got fixed quickly. 3.No sponge+washing up liquid, so buy own 4.No instruction on apartment facilities: cannot differentiate washing powder for washing machine or dish washer,so ask reception.

Good for long stay”

It was comfortable stay. well -maintained rooms and property. Staff are a bit busy as the property is under-staffed, so they are always very busy. Check-out time is not 12 pm but it is actually 10.30am. Check-in time is 3pm. All the appliances are functional and very helpful for long stay. we stayed for 20 nights and felt like home.

The one bedroom apt is clean and spacious. Check in and out were easy, with £200 deposit. Well equipped kitchenette n TESCO down the bulding. Washer/Dryer machine instructions is provided.. Stayed 4 nights, no cleaning service by the Apt. Recommended.

I stayed 3 nights, great amenities, but the washing machine was difficult to use because the washing machine indicator labels are missing... Other than that, the kitchenette utensils, microwave , toaster, kettle are provided. There is only 1 lift to access the rooms and we had to wait to go the room and come to lobby. There is no phone in the units and made it difficult to contact the reception or housekeeping. The lady attented who attended my check in was pleasant, cheerful and corteous...thank you very much for your hospitality.. Good place for long term stay..

Failed Customer service ”

Big, clean apartment, but no housekeeping. Full kitchen utensils. Near Borough Station, walking distance to London Bridge, Borough Market, Tower Bridge. There is Tesco, convenient store just next to it. Can buy food & heeat up or cook. The unit numbers are rather confusing. The staff are not helpful. After check out, left the luggage with the reception. After a day trip back, they brought out my luggage. I asked for toilet, but they said toilet is out of order. And they do not know the nearest toilet. They asked me to use the airport toilet since I will going there. Finally one of them told me to go Starbucks opposite Borough Station. She wants me to bring my luggage along😠. It was raining, but I insisted to leave it with them. When I came back for it, my luggage was out the reception. The staff is so insensitive. I wonder if they go Starbucks for toilet. Hope they can improve in this aspect

Location excellent. Facility satisfactory. Supermarket on ground next door was great. My booking for 2 units (1-bedroom and 1 hall) spacious for 6 persons, but we got 1 spacious and 1 standard. stayed 14 nights but housekeeping done only once on 8th day. For 3 person, given only two towels, one 30ml shower gel and 1 & half toilet rolls. Run out of shower gel and toilet rolls and had to call front desk but were told housekeeping once a week, can throw your rubbish bin yourself. Housekeeping done only on 8th day of my 14 nights. I believe they can improve on these basic needs to make our stay a happier one.

Good location, but staff was inefficent”

The apartment was great and bed was comfortable. Location is good with a suppermarket right outside. Only thing is the counter staff was not very friendly and the check in took extremely long due to system failure. Also because it is apartment, they only clean it once a week and u have to clear e rubbish in e House yourselve.

IT WAS TORTURE”

I Have book marlin apartment by viewing that it is 4 star apartment when we check in ,first surprise for us was that there were no ac ans then we come to know that there is no housekeeping in this apartment and they do cleaning once in a week we ask them to change our towel reply come to us that you have to wash for own in washing machine which is kept then we ask what about detergent for wash cloth,they told us to go and bring for own from market it was full of waste of money, i cant understand how this property is mark up by 4* category when we are searching,when there is not single facilty of 1* only location is plus point rest all is waste and i have waste my money fully ,as we were in holiday,my family was scolding me all the time , and they will charge full amt b4 checkin, that also it is non refundable baddddd awwwwww

Perfect place to stay”

I've been to Marlin Apartments a few times now - and I will return. The one bed apartment is very comfortable with everything you need - and if you don't fancy eating out - you can pop into Tescos and pick up something to heat up in the kitchen. So much nicer than staying in a cramped hotel room. Please note that 'check in' can take some time so be prepared as it can get very busy at weekends - also make sure you're prepared with ID and a card to put a damage deposit on. Some of the elements in the room could do with an update ie TV and some furnishings - but you wont find better for convenience and and facilities - a real home from home.

Location was good. The streets / surrounding was clean and we feel safe walking around the area. Checking in was fast and handled with smiles. Nice and clean apartment. Looks new. Very comfortable beds in both bedrooms. Large bathrooms. Well kept facilities allowing home like chores such simple cooking for breakfast as well as laundry. Fairly convenient with Tesco express just next door and Borough station close by. Apartment is also within walking distance to London Bridge & Tower bridge.

Convenient place to stay”

Tesco Express next door, Underground within a long block

For first timers in London, this was perfect for us. The apartment was equipped with all appliances, newly built and spotless. Total square footage was estimated around 450 square feet and this include full kitchen, washer/dryer and separate bedroom with queen size bed. Reception staff were available twenty-four hours and were very helpful with touristy type questions. We would stay here again.

I had confirmed the baby cot before arrival. We booked the one room apartment so we could put the baby to sleep and spent time in the living room. The apartment was just the right size and there were no major hazards for the baby to crawl and play on the floor. The only remark would be that the floor seemed to be a bit dirty (which we did not notice until we looked at the babies dirty hands). The kitchen was very well equipped and with a Tesco Express downstairs, it was very convenient to get a nice dinner in the apartment. Borough market, Maltby Street, Tower Bridge and London Bridge, the Thames, the Tate Modern and the Globe are all on easy walking distance, which made are stay very good.

position, convenience, quietness.

I needed somewhere in London as a base for a party weekend. The Marlin was ideal for position and with two bedrooms and two bathrooms was perfect for the amount of people staying. The price for a similar set up in a hotel would have been prohibitive. Check in was quick and the apartment was clean. The Tescos downstairs is very useful and Borough tube is less than a five minute walk away. Recommended.
