Peace and tranquility”
Waking up to roosters crowing, birds chirping and gentle cool breeze is such a wonderful experience while staying at the apartment. The place is clean and well-maintained. They got all the facilities in the unit ready for your stay. The place is near the park where they have their sunday market with all the food stalls, fresh veggies and beautiful plants. Internet connection was slow though. You could only read emails and faster during early mornings but really slow at nyt. Nevertheless, we would love to come back here and enjoy a relaxing week far from the usual city life. Thanks Marie and the whole staff :)

I recommend Marpas Apartment”
We stayed here for 3 days and 3 night. I like its walking distance to main attractions like Forest Camp and Tejero Highlands. The place was cozy, relaxing, breezy, and close to nature. The water in the swimming pool where we swam every night was clean, warm, and relaxing. It was a beautiful place to stay in although they could use some new bed linens and towels. Not that those weren't clean--just old and almost worn, thin, and rough for the skin.

I had a week’s stay. It’s walkable to the town plaza, just a 10min walk. Costs P30 by tricycle to town. More expensive if u call for pick up. Place is clean, just many mosquitoes. There’s no hot shower and shower is kind of cold. There’s no microwave but there’s an oven. Tv is kind of hard to operate if you’re not familiar. Internet is weak. But overall, my stay was ok. Staff are very helpful esp when I left my clothes hanging and it rained.

I have long wanted to stay at this hotel due to the excellent reviews and pictures I have seen. I finally managed to do so, and found Marpas to be a peaceful and friendly place. It is quite a ways from Dumaguete, but Valencia is a charming town and if you don't mind a 15-20 minute trip by trike into the city, i would heartily recommend these apartments. The pictures are an accurate representation of the apartments in my opinion. Maria, one of the owners, was extremely helpful and gracious to us. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we will be returning in the next week to become a long-term guest there.

Excellent for "Get-Away"”
These are indeed apartments, not a hotel, or a motel. Fully furnished even down to kitchen utensils. Any food or supplies you need, you need to bring in, except for towels. This is away from the noise and pollution of Dumaguete and even Valencia. It is a 20 minutes walk into Valencia and a 20 minute walk to Forest Camp. Very do-able, but in 12 walks a trike stopped by to pick us up 8 of those times. 10p each person. Ideally these apartments are geared for a week or more stay. The pool is great and the grounds are well kept. The balcony (if you are on the second floor) is spacious. Only minor problem is ants in the kitchen, so I recommend you buy a spray and keep food off the counter for a long period of time. We would go back again.

I COULD LIVE HERE it's a 10”
probably the nicest place i have ever stayed for the price. i't rare to stay somewhere that the photos are a fair reflection of what you get. the apartment was stunning, the pool was good & quiet, infact the whole compound was peaceful. staff were friendly without being pushy, motorbike rental was very reasonable & yes it's a few miles to dumaguete but valencia is a nice little town with a few restaurants etc. the roads are pretty quiet going into duma so no worries on a bike.

Best apartments in Dumaguete.”
Nice big spacious space with full length patio doors overlooking the garden. Its 20 minutes outside of Dumaguete do not let that worry you its peaceful and serene and Valencia town is walking distance or a 2 minute motorbike ride. There's a guard on the gate and you get a key for the gate and your apartment so its private. Everything is there with utensils and gas cooking in the kitchen and a large fridge freezer and large water bottle dispenser. Cable television reception is good and an internet that works. There's a manager at the main house and staff for cleaning and clothes washing if you want it who are friendly and approachable. Different from Hotel stay its far more private and having stayed in several Filipino apartments this one is the best so far.

Beautiful Place”
We only stayed here two nights on our way to Dumaguete just to see what it was liked. The apartments are more geared for long stay guests and with very good discount for long stay. The gardens are absolutely stunning and with a nice swimming pool as well. It is very peaceful and so nice nice to sit out on the balcony in the evening and early mornings and and just hear nature and no noisy traffic. But your food in the market and town, all facilities here to cook. Plenty of mortorcycles for hire here.

Marpas is great for people that love luxury app ent also quiet place. Its 8km from the center. But you can rent there for 250peso good moterbike. The owners wil help you by everything for to have great stay.

The owners and staff went out of there way to make our stay very pleasant. Fresh Fruits in my room on arrival is just one of many nice small things the owners and staff do. it is the perfect couples get away. FRESH AIR Very quiet, neat and classy clean European Decor. great bed and linens. ceiling fans, real furniture, everything worked. It does not feel like your in a hotel. Excellent internet , nice landscaping and a pool that is very inviting I can not wait to return
