great for an overnight stay”
I would recommend this for anyone with a flight out of Narita the next day or with a flight that arrives late. The staff was pleasant, the room was not too small, and the hotel was quiet. It is only about five minutes from the airport, too, which let me get up a good bit later for my flight. The Marroad International Hotel is not an expensive hotel and has a free shuttle that runs to and from the airport. However, despite its comparatively low price, it does not come off as shabby or run down. For a longer stay, it might not be ideal because it does not include all of the bells and whistles of a nicer hotel (for example, meals are not included and the menu is limited although the staff is very friendly) and is not in the center of Tokyo. But for busy travelers, it is a nice place to rest your eyes.

Very good overnight pre-takeoff or post-landing”
I've stayed at the Marroad twice, once preparing for taking off from Narita the next day, and this time as a staging area to rest up after landing at Narita. The hotel is great for unwinding from a tour and preparing for a flight out the next day, and also for starting to get one's Japanese bearings coming in. It's very close to the airport, which makes it very convenient for tired travelers in either direction, but without the shuttle to the main part of town, it wouldn't be very good for last-minute souvenir shopping, or for any food that the hotel didn't provide. Some of the staff didn't have the same level of English ability, and so I had to rely on my not-so-good Japanese a couple of times, but they were definitely friendly and very willing to try to help. I can't rate the food this time, but the first time it was very good, if pricey. Also, if you don't have your own LAN cable, you will have to pay to rent one of theirs for 1000 yen for 1 day. The Internet itself was free, though. The rooms were very comfortable, with beds large enough to handle most all Americans, and the amenities were sufficient for most needs. The convenience store in the lobby was a plus, as well, but it wasn't open 24 hours. Access to the Aeon shopping mall by hotel shuttle solved the problem of not having much to do around the hotel, as well as provided access to much more reasonably priced food. All in all, I recommend the Marroad for travelers who are coming into or getting ready to leave Japan.

Great service, nice rooms, free shuttle bus”
I stayed at Marroad for one night. I had accidentally booked the room on a wrong date, but they didn't charge me and just let me book a new room for free. The single room itself and the bed were huge, there was enough space for even two persons. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. For dinner I went to the Chinese buffet on the top floor from which you have a beautiful panorama view on the airport. The buffet was not very cheap (2500 Yen), but the food was delicious and the variety big. The free shuttle bus runs from the hotel to the terminals every thirty minutes, more often at peak times. If you want to visit Narita, Marroad is not the best choice, though, as it is far from the center. There are buses to the city, but there are more convenient hotels in the center.

Marroad for a day”
We stayed at Marroad for a night where we booked 2 rooms; 1 for the kids and the other for ourselves. I arrived early at 2.00pm and checked in and the wife/kids arrived about 3.00pm. We didn't leave the hotel and there were enough things to do for a late afternoon. We took a walk around the area, then went straight to the bath and sauna and it was already 6.00pm. we had dinner at the buffet restaurant. the food was average, but it is convenient and you don't have a 15min taxi ride to and from. We thought the price to be reasonable and adding another 1,800 yen for 90 mins for free flow is a good bargain. if you need stay in narita due to an early morning flight, the marroad is fine. we stayed a few times and we'll stay again.

Great shuttle service!”
Located near Narita airport although Gest rooms are well sound proofed and a little sound of jets didn't bother us at all. And they offer great shuttle services for free to/from Narita train station and shopping mall as well as airport. We will choose to stay marroad again next time.

I enjoyed my stay”
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. I came to pick up a friend from the airport (night before because I didn't want to deal with traffic during the day.) I was pleasantly surprised that it was so nice, and I would definitely stay here again. The staff were very accomodating and the hotel atmosphere was great despite the conference that was going on (sometimes other hotels don't know how to handle these type of conferences - Marroad did a great job - and the confernce didn't interrupt my stay.) Thanks, Marroad for a pleasant experience.

excellent value for your money”
I was highly impressed with the Marroud International Hotel and felt it was a great deal for the price. My room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is close to the airport and offered a free shuttle to and from the airport, which is great for early morning flights. There is an ampm inside the hotel in case you forgot anything important. The view from my room was fantastic, and they even gave you free slippers and a japanese kimono-type robe in your room. The only downside was that the room felt a little "old." Orange carpet is not really my style. :P

Review of the Marroad International Hotel, Tokyo”
Marroad was a convenient place and reasonably well priced place to stay as an airport hotel for one night or two. The room was comfortable and clean. There is also a free shuttle bus between the hotel and Narita Airport which runs several times throughout the day and this was well communicated at both airport and hotel. Vending machines are located on each floor and also ice access facilities. It was also good to be able to access English speaking tv channels, but also the ability to pay for films if required.

Nice hotel, but not for visiting Tokyo”
I booked this hotel because my original accommodations did not work out. Sadly I didn't pay enough attention to it's location. It's near Narita Airport, which is about 30 miles from Tokyo. It's a nice hotel, with great staff and a free shuttle to Narita but the train to Tokyo is $12 or $24 each way. If you cheap out you're on the train for 90 minutes to get to Central Tokyo. Spend more and you're there in 45. That's after you take the shuttle to the airport from the hotel. On the plus side Narita is a nice city so if you do stay be sure to check out Narita.
