Great hotel. Convenient location”
Loved the hotel. But the lights in the room were too dim. Many restaurants around the hotel and because we rented a car, getting around wasn't an issue. Comes with a separate bathtub, toilet and basin area. Got the Mt Fuji view room but there was a building right in front of my window, so, it wasn't an unblock view. A little disappointed. The furniture seems tired and worn. The public onsen was superb. Great facilities. But overall, enjoyed our stay. It has free parking as well. And two bottles of free drinking water a day.

My only two suggestions would be to provide more outlets inside the rooms. The were only two outlets available for use all others were powering clock, lamp, phone etcetera. Also a microwave should be provided in the open area on the 12th floor. The only option is to go to the front desk an request for them to warm up your food.

The hotel is clean and we love their garden with a big pond and lots of koi fish. My kids really enjoyed feeding the fish and ran around the garden., at night they have a water fountain show which we enjoyed while having dinner. The room is really big and clean. As for the staffs they are courteous and really helpful. The breakfast is also a two thumbs up. Overall we had a great staycation at this hotel and would recommend it especially for families.

I highly recommend this hotel. Staff are professional and good in English. I'm surprised to have hot spring. The room facilities are clean and comfortable. The most unforgettable experience is able to see the full view of Fujiyama mountain once I wake up. It's really fantastic.

Very large onsen in a nice setting. Delicious breakfast. Room was very large as well. 44m2. Susuno room also had a view of Mt Fuji. Good for a stay after shopping at the Gotenba Outlet.

A considerable distance from the Gotemba Station that recommend to take a taxi when you check-in. Luckily there is a bus station beside the hotel to the outlet. Great environment, services and breakfast but not many places for dining or walk around near the hotel area.

Room is big and our room has a side view of mr fuji. Our kids like the fish pond which you can ask the staff for food to feed the carp. Cons: No restaurants around it. The hotel is located next to the highway so we can hear noises of big trucks passing by.

Staff inflexible, hotel without advertised service ”
Working staff pretty inflexible. Went there second time w/ a lot of hopes. It was pretty disappointing that as a guest we haven’t received a place for our dinner.. everything was booked out.. instead they asked us to go for a 20min walk to the train station to have dinner there or use a taxi and pay by our own.. Mount Fuji water fountain was also not working. Bar was closed. Means a lot of things advertised on the homepage are actually not taking place. Cancellation on short notice only without refund possible.. we stayed paying a lot of money without advertised service.. thank you!! Will mot go there once more

Exceptional! Best stay in Japan so far!”
We were surprised and amazed by the size of the room and comfort of the beds, I think my kids had their best night sleep in this hotel throughout my 8 days of stay in Japan. 2 queen beds + a baby cot, and sofa, and still lotsa space!! Bathroom was great too!! I think SPACE is really what kids like, they sleep better and longer hours. We adults are better rested too. Breakfast was Japanese style, suits adults more, my kids didnt' have much to eat. .. but still, I'm overwhelmed by the service and what the hotel offers. Customer service was great too, they provided kids packs for my kids and they loved it... with kids room slippers and some toys, hankies and sponge for shower. Very nice gesture. This is truly an underated hotel, so glad I booked a night stay here. Thank you staff of Mars Garden Wood Gotemba! I highly recommend anyone going to see Mt Fuji, u get a very good and clear view of Mt Fuji in Gotemba everywhere u walk/drive during Spring!!

Exceptionally great, good location, very clean”
Travelled with parents in law, the hotel is excellent for a vacation. Just located 3min walk from the Gotemba bus station, it is easy to reach as we travelled by express bus from Tokyo. Very clean rooms - spacious with comfy beds. We stayed for 3 nights visiting the Fuji area , went to ski park Yeti and he Gotemba outlet, which are both reachable by the same bus station. Didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant but we ate in the nearby restaurants instead, which is about 8-10min walk from the hotel. Big supermarket within 10min walk and Gotemba JR station is within 5min by taxi. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Super glad that we chose mars garden wood. Hope to visit again.

Check in was fast and quick..the staff showed us to our room..japanese breakfast was very delicious and great..location is near to bus station (gotemba toei) for odakyu bus (free pass) going to the premium outlet and back to hakone and also the free shuttle bus going to premium outlet....gotemba train station is 15 minits walk from the hotel and they do provide shuttle car to and from the hotel..2 halal food restaurant can be found near the hotel and train station which are kintokitei and gotemba india..hope to come again next time...👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent Hotel”
I am indeed impress with the facilities they have in Mars Garden Wood Gotemba Hotel. To get to the Gotemba Premium Outlet, you need to walk for about 5 minutes to the station and there is free shuttle. When i checkout, and I request for driver to send me to the station because I have heavy luggage, they not only send me to the station but also to the place that sell the ticket. Overall I am very happy with the staff performance and also places. The only thing which I my personal opinion is that the breafast should be buffet instead of ala carte.

Great hotel with friendly staff”
The hotel receptionist speaks good English, he explained all the hotel facilities clearly and patiently and guided us all the way to our room at 10 floor which has a grear Mountain Fuji view. The hotel has hot spring at 2nd floor where the hotel guests can enjoy both indoor and outdoor. The hotel also has a public space at the top floor which has an amazing direct view of Mount Fuji for all the hotel guests to take photos. There is a bus interchange less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel and have free shuttle bus to Gotemba outlet every 15 minutes.

Our stay at the Mars Garden Wood was absolutely perfect. It was our 2nd time there and the service is above most other hotels, the suites are gorgeous and comfortable and the staff are very attentive to our needs.

pleasant but expensive stay, not centrally located”
It was a great stay except that I booked the incorrect room, I didn't realise that the room I booked with the one double bed was for 1 person occupancy, hence I had to pay almost double of what I already paid ( which was also double of the other hotels I booked on the trip per night) for a double room with 2 beds for 2 people. Room was huge however and we had great view of Fuji san. Restaurant food is great a real eye opener, excellent chefs. The hotel was perfect”
First i came to this hotel, and it was very quiet and clean. Best location of the shuttle bus from gotemba premium outlet it's just take 2 minutes walking and bus is free of charges. And this hotel had a good facilities ( hotspring ) really great clean and good design. Surely you will get a good sleep and sweet dream. And in the morning get a perfect breakfast (best for the food and views during you take your breakfast.. ( you can see the mt. Fuji. The staff was also good. They were trying to help the guest. So overall that such an amazing experience i'll come back again soon 😊
