In case future guests are surprised by it, they had better know before going, that although it is truly 'seaside', this hotel does not have a traditional beach to use for swimming etc. There is access to the sea however; it is just that the sea comes right to the quay of the hotel. People have been seen starting their jetski there. Loved the room, and general sense of space and cleanliness. Not being so close to Naval, there isn't street noise and garbage like in most areas of the Philippines. Having come from a very congested urban area, the hotel and its neighbourhood felt like sanity. On-site restaurant serves generous portions and food is decent, even if it is not too 'fancy'. Pool unfortunately was being sterilised with chemicals the day we visited. Good wifi in the communal area, though none in the room itself. Recommend for short breaks, because if you badly want the beach, there were quite a few local beach resorts where it's possible to spend the whole day. If staying for a long time, arrange own transport because haggling with motor-tricycle drivers every time you have to go to Naval for something gets a little tiresome. Also possible to explore the mountainsides and even local waterfalls. Beautiful.

An Oasis in Naval, Philippines”
This resort is just north of the small town of Naval, but every trike driver knows how to get there. This is an all inclusive inn and resort that you will not have to leave to go back into Naval. Beautiful, and rustic design inside. Several places to sit and eat (inside and out) and the food is acceptable and cooked by several people. Rooms are clean, bathroom acceptable. There is no beach, but you can get in the bay water if you want. Across the alley of the main building is the swimming pool. It was clean and warm. The grounds were constantly busy with people cleaning. Finally, the staff was very friendly!

Highly Recommended”
Wonderful staff...very gracious and accommodating. Food was excellent and prices reasonable. They have a pool that's kept clean. As it's in the outskirts of Naval, it was quiet and picturesque. Very accessible as there's a tricycle terminal just a few meters from the gate. They can also arrange for a tour for you (Sambawan Island, chasing waterfalls). I'd rebook when I go back to Biliran province. Bang for the buck!

Nice Stay in Biliran”
Biliran and Manila have in common, both have problem in solid waste management. Visited downtown, will never eat again in the "ihawan" near Naval Mall. Good thing Marvin's Seaside has a restaurant where you can eat sumptuous meals. Moreover, the rooms are clean and you can dip in the pool after a tiring water falls chasing.

Great! Every time I go to naval I will stay there. Mainly cuz the manager was so great. She helped me rent a motorcycle. Good value too. They seem to be making improvments and adding better stuff

i would be happy to recommend marvins seaside hotel to any traveler. HOWEVER, as far as agoda as a booking portal goes it is loaded with incompetence i have been trying to resolve an issue with the site for nearly 6 weeks now. the written emails are misinterpreted by employees with poor English skills, so any reply is not relevant to the issue i need fixed., the 24/7 customer service number is not manned 24/7 and messages left are not responded to. on the one occasion i was called in response to an email the person on the o\phone was unable to action my needs and passed it to some one else, and I am still waiting for that person to respond after 2 weeks. my recommendation would be to find another site, or use a reputable travel service prior to your leaving home. the stress of being in a foreign country and reliant on this group of incompetent clowns is just too much, and detracts from the enjoyment of travel. i have no problem in being contacted for information on my gmail account as it will not identify me to the world henerine@gmail.com for those at agoda this is not my contact email so it will bear no relation to my login and customer details. Good aircon, large room. Comfort is not top segment but price matches the comfort. Food can take a while but is not bad at all! Credit Card payment does not always work there. Bring cash too.

Excellent Choice”
Most enjoyable. My daughter (2 1/2) loved the pool. My wife and I enjoyed the food. Fine home cooked meals... every day. The room was spacious and very clean.

A Nice Stay”
The staff were nice and our room was spacious enough for a group of 3. We booked a room with a sea view and it was just so serene. The hotel is quite far from the city center and the neighborhood is a residential area. There were a few sari-sari stores outside but seems to have no nearby restaurants. They have an in-house restaurant though that serves a wide variety of Filipino and Western cuisine.

Arrogant cook,morning shift.”
first of all,i complain to the manager owner Marvin I was very nice to tell him that don't take it negative as critism helps them improve the service in the future and he was very nice to me and just listen.i told him that the food was tastless.The next morning I was sitting in the cashier suddenly the cook morning shift confronted me,she was not happy that I complain and even told me that I should had not tell to Marvin's my complain instead tell her in the kitchen.i was shock,I've worked 10 years in hotel and restaurant industry and that was not the way to handle customer complain Professionally ,she went on to tell me that I am the one who has the problem and that there was nothing wrong with his cooking,and that my taste buds is the problem.i was also disappointed with the staff who were there who just let that old woman confronted me,this is absolutely anceptable behaviour .I don't think they have proper trainings on how to handle complains,she should not be working in this industry is she acts like that. rooms is big but basic,shower not working properly so we had to use tub and bath manually.ive killed 4 grasshopper.lots of different ants,my child full of ants bite. when I ask the staff why they have lots of insects and ants she just simply told me it's normal because we open the door so they get in.Good job to Vanessa and other 2 staff who dis good job and give me good service. Even so,I will not coming back this hotel not recommend to someone.

The hotel is fine for PH understanding. The pool is a nice feature but it is very warm and also it is hardly ever clean. Leafs and bugs enjoy it with you :-)
