Exceptional”
A very impressive hotel,staff were excellent from walking through the door,room could not have wished for better bed is really comfy everything clean and smart,food we had bar meal was excellent,partner want WKD drink which they dont stock but the barman made my partner a cocktail which as my partner says tasted miles better than the WKD. staff all friendly polite and right on top of their game excellent breakfast will definitely be staying there again i would have to say a totally faultless experience

Overall our rating was good, however on arrival we were allocated a room where clearly the heating was not working as it was like an ice box. Reception staff however changed the room to an acceptable one. Worst aspect was on our second night a group arrived wanting rooms at 4.00am. They were allocated rooms near ours and they couldn't have made more noise if they tried. Loud talking and banging and crashing went on for what seemed like ages. Eventually I got up and found 2 of them carrying a television screen down the corridor. After I confronted them they did at least quieten down but by this time our sleep had been disrupted. To be fair to the staff the receptionist did apologise and gave us a discount on our restaurant and bar bill. However accepting guests at that our of the night the night staff should do more to ensure that other guests are not disturbed.

A lovely hotel nicely presented with lots of amenities and great food. Pool lovely temperature tho not sure the sauna was working. Not recommended at the weekend for a solo traveler though as popular wedding venue which in my case crowded the bar with noisy children running all round it and made it very difficult to get served. Difficult to relax & enjoy a drink and a meal. Would be good if the weddings could be provided with their own bar and restricted to that and the dance area.

The first room were were given, for lights went working and it has the squeakiest floor and a fold out bed. There room was specious though needed of a refurb. Was offered a different room in a different block which was a lot smaller but a lot nicer which felt as though it has been recently refurbished, no fold out bed this time and was more like a proper hotel room. All rooms have SkyHD which is good though the grounds need a lot of TLC as a lot of flaking paint on the railings surrounding all of the blocks. The food and breakfast we had was self service which was good especially for the fried breakfast though there was a wait to get seated as it was very busy though staff efficient at turning tables over.

Returning stay to visit the Zoo”
This hotel is excellently situated to enable one to enjoy a full day at the Zoo. The staff were friendly. It was a shame that when we opened the wardrobe to take out the spare blanket, a pair of dirty trainers, presumably belonging to a previous guest, were in there. On our previous stays, we always enjoyed the bath. This room had been refurbished and the bath, unfortunately from our perspective, had been replaced with a shower. The swimming pool and jacuzzi provide delightful relaxation.

Hotel in general good staff excellent but the room was well below par due to cheeky flooring all over and the bed was unstable very cheeky reported to the staff in the morning who agreed and reducedad the bar bill by 20% I feel a sertain refund on the room is more appropriate due to lack of sleep

Very nice. I was there alone for one night only and I thought the setting was lovely. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and efficient - such a refreshing change.

Interesting Building in a great location”
Interesting building amongst the trees, locattion was good, staff were helpful, evening meal was great complete with a pre main course and pre desert taster - great touch, only down side was that there was a clump of hair on the floor in the bedroom which the cleaner must have missed and the breakfast could have been warmer - perhaps we should have dug a bit deeper into the containers to an area being warmed a bit more by the warmers underneath. other than that it was great, thanks

Enjoyed our stay and meal here. Staff were great. Rooms a bit dated but nice. Really annoyed that there is no children's playground because I have clearly read on the website that there is!

Nothing to write home about. The bathroom was very dated. The rooms all share a balcony. Someone tried to get into our room. No window in the room so if we didnt leave the door open we would boil to death. No aircon, a fan but only 2 plugs in the room. If i could get my money back I would

No one offered to carry our luggage to our room, quite a long trek down corridor and up stairs. Breakfast very disappointing - we had to ask for cup and saucer, jug of milk for tea, teaspoons, toast twice and the cooked breakfast was luke warm warm

The room was very hot overnight and the shower and bathroom need updating. The shower was either burning hot or freezing cold with no mix. Useful for a one night stop over. Breakfast made up for the cost of the stay.

Dissapointing”
Beautiful location however the room I stayed in was in desperate need of refurbishment and therefore although it was clean it did not feel clean. Staff I met were all very friendly.
