A breath of fresh air in a dusty city”
I have to say that Melia Hanoi exceeded my expectations - and this is comparing against 5 and 6 star hotels across Asia and Australasia. Not only was the room nice and clean, you notice how impeccably kept it is as edges are free of grime, mould and dust as is the bottom of the bathroom sink (don't ask me why I use that as a reference.... it's my OCD). The bed size was impossibly huge as well, which gave my wife and I the well needed, undisturbed rest after lots of walking. Staff were always friendly and smiling and the ambience was always comfortable. If I come back to Hanoi again, I know where I'll be staying!

We stayed in a Melia in Paris and were very impressed so we thought we would try the one in Hanoi and we are glad we did Room was well appointed, clean and well maintained Executive lounge great value for money (unlimited alcohol wine beer spirits) Gym well appointed equipment on the old side though. Spa was good based on my husbands feedback.

Superb Hotel”
The hotel was gorgeous, the staff friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is located a short walk from the main town, the facilities are great and the disco bar was expensive on drinks but their was a great atmosphere. There is a lovely restaurant called Teddys across from the hotel which does lovely food. I suggest anyone visiting Asia should down load an app called Grab it's like uber and you dont have to put credit card details in you pay cash it tells you the driver of the taxi and the cost of the cab ride. We got ripped off on taxi's till we were told about this App.

Melia Hotel is slightly away from the old quarter which make it ideal for us as we do not want the noises of the traffic especially over the weekend where all the motor cycles were honking. The strength equipment in the gym is new and functional. The spread of the breakfast is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Simply fastastic!!!
