Great MCR hotel”
The Mercure is centrally located so Chinatown, Gay Village and the Northern Quarter are all just a couple block walk. Plus, we came by train, and Piccadilly Station was only half a mile away too. The hotel itself is clean, in great condition, and the rooms comfortable size. The breakfast was really good, and our room faced Piccadilly Square -- offering a view. Perfect place to stay in Manchester.

That lady receptionist by the door on the 23rd of July was really nice and helpful. Room was ok. Air conditioning keeps turning on and off by itself. And could do more snacks. There was 2 of us and only got 1 packet of biscuit. And more brew selections. Other than that enjoyed the stay with this hotel. Thanks

A hotel stay spoilt ”
Two aspects spoilt the stay, one, a lunatic black woman in the restaurant, to which the old bill were called out to. Two, noisy people in the next room. Staff were good though. I realise saying it how it is will not get this published in UK

Nice hotel ... but”
The room we were given initially had a very small bed however reception happily allocated us another room with large double bed which was what we originally booked and we were happy with that. There is a large variety / selection of food for breakfast but unfortunately the hot food was not hot at all - it was not even warm - this was 3 days in a row. There can be a long wait for lifts especially on weekends when hotel is very busy.

Cracking location, the room we had was like a prison cell. Not modern at all and felt damp. Such a shame as this was for a mini moon and hotel didn’t seem bothered. Breakfast decent and good choice. Overall ok shame it wasn’t great.

Staff professional and friendly but room doesn't look looked after - dents in bedroom walls and a bit of mould around the bath. The room could also do with a more homely colour scheme.

The lady on reception, when i checked in, really not nice. The room really old.. old hotel.. Lift really long to wait. Bed size for queen only 150cm. The window and door too old.. sorry mercure, i will not choose this hotel again for stay..

Without doubt the most awful time I've spent in a hotel. Leaky rooms I had to ask 4 times to get fixed. We were left in the soaking wet all that day and to complain in the evening. it actually got worsen from there. Don't go here, the staff are lovely

The floor was smelly, food not taken away from rooms, very late in delivering items to rooms, i want a full refund, complained to House keeping but no joy, not happy at all due to it being our anniversary so embarrassed.😢😢😢😢😢

i needed a room for the stone roses homecoming gigs in manchester and after a fruitless search through rip off hotels who had hiked their prices i stumbled upon this gem of a hotel through agoda. the price for the room in such a good hotel in a great location on such a busy weekend in manchester was incredible. The hotel is slag bang in piccadilly gardens, the city centre in manchester and walking distance from all the local nightlife! based on the price i was expecting a very basic room but I was very impressed. The hotel room was large, very well decorated and had everything you'd need, also great views from up high over the city centre below. will definitely look to stay in this hotel again! I am a Manchester united football fan and have stayed many times in manchester for night out/football and this is by far my pick of the bunch so far

Best for Christmas markets & Old Trafford”
We booked the Mercure 2 months in advance of our stay. We booked an executive double room as the value was incredible. Our visit to Manchester was initially for the Manchester United v Liverpool match however the Premier League moved the matchday! Luckily we had the Christmas markets to visit! The hotel was brilliant. Comfortable bed, great power in the shower and the coffee machines are a stroke of genius. Its right beside the tram lines to Old Trafford & the Trafford Centre, located right in Piccadilly Gardens & in the middle of the Christmas markets just 100m from the Manchester wheel which is erected for Christmas. When we return to Manchester we'll definitely be booking the Mercure....through Agoda :)

Modern hotel with great service!”
stayed here for one night on new years eve. very easy to find and easily accessible (5 min walk from manchester piccadilly train station). greeted extremely nicely whilst checking in, no problems at all with the agoda booking. rooms were beyond the standard we were expecting, nice and clean, extremely large windows, if anything just on the small side. hairdryer, ironing board, iron, trouser press, tv, tea/coffee facilities, towels and toiletries. comfortable beds, and considering it was nye virtually no sound from other visitors was heard from our room during the whole stay. last check out was at midday which was a bonus, and breakfast is available should you wish (bookable at an extra price). as the rooms start from the 4th floor, (we were on the 6th) the view at night time from our window was really nice. would definitely stay here again if heading to manchester city centre.

Lovely hotel. great location and good service”
The hotel is located just on top of the information centre of Manchester and there are supermarkets, eateries and shopping centres within 5 minutes of walk. It is near to Piccadilly Station where you can take trams and buses around Manchester and places outside the city. If you drive, you can park overnight at the hotel for a fee which I thought was reasonable. The staff was very professional and friendly. A great stay.

Amazing Location! Fantastic & lovely staff”
This is my 2nd time to stay at the Mercure Manchester. The locations is just great shopping area and centre is just around the corner. Nightlife bars, clubs and famous canal st is also just around the corner yet the hotel is quiet, good night sleep no outside noise heard in the hotel. The hotel room is small not very fancy but clean & adequate. The staff in the hotel both visit were great so friendly, welcoming and Paul Costello the concierge was more than charming, informative and friendly. I have stayed in many, many hotels all around the world from 3-5 star and the staff were not as friendly as the mercure.

An excellent haven in the midst of the city”
We had a brilliant time here from the moment we checked. All staff were very professional and friendly, and the hotel itself is just great. Its rooms are so comfortable I can honestly say that my daughter and I had the best nights' sleep in ages. Despite being right in the centre overlooking the bustling Picadilly Gardens, our room was beautifully quiet and well equipped. Bath and shower were lovely and the hospitality tray even in our standard room was well stocked. Breakfast was ample with a fantastic range of items, with the cooked option and continental buffet. Fruit and pastries were so fresh and the cooked items seemed to be of a high quality. We loved every minute of our stay here and it wasn't long enough! Can't wait to return ro such a fantastic hotel and city and would thouroughly reccommend to anyone looking for wccommodation in Manchester
