Exellent relaxed dive resort with friendly and helpfull staff”
Very nice place with friendly staff and everything you need. Diving with the crew is fun and good. Rooms are clean and very light. Swimmingpool is refreshing and they have a good variety of food. Will definitely come back again!

We would say Mike’s diving resort is worth to stay , they have a wonderful service for diving even only staying for relax. We spent two nights , and tried one day dive to Apo island , we really enjoy to dive there and been stay with all of them. The food they offered is better than other diving resorts, surly they have lots experienced DM to guide you diving there. Definitely we will choose to stay again if we back to Damagatte next time!

We've had the pleasure of staying at Mike's resort for five days, and will happily stay here for unknown amount of days due to the Covid-19 lockdown of Negros Island. Well Mike's crew is great, super friendly staff and great food to affordable prices :) We recommend for your visit in Dauino!

Mike's is a good place to unwind. The place is ideal for a small group of people only since the pool is not that big. The staff are friendly, we ate there for our breakfast and the food was good, just a little bit costly for us Filipinos. Though the room rates were quite expensive, considering the room's space.

Great Diving and better people”
Mike's is our kind of place--small, cozy, laid back with all you need to do some great diving. With just eight rooms there is not a lot of people to contend with and it's nice and quiet. Nice rooms--we had the standard room for 2 nights and the deluxe room for the last 2 night--frankly we liked the standard room as much as the deluxe room. The basic difference in rooms is being a corner room with a window facing the ocean and chairs and table outside around the corner with a little more privacy -- and a refrigerator which the standard rooms did not have. Corri the resort manager was always asking how we were doing and was always around if you had questions--Jonathan in charge of the dive operations made contact with right away about diving and what I wanted to do and scheduled trips. Most people are there to dive Apo Island which I did (3 dive day) and it was great. Boat ride to Apo, 3 dives and lunch and drinks after the second dive--it was fantastic. Being a novice diver I really appreciated all the help and attention I received from the boat crews and divemaster--Gabby and Ace and Marlon who pretty much guided only me on my three dives at Apo--my first drift dive and it was amazing and he got some great underwater photos of me with turtles with my camera. Special shout out to Victor on the Apo trip who helped my girlfriend Lei get in the water there to snorkel--he was a great help in getting her over her fear of deep water and she saw more turtles than I did lol--thanks my man. We loved the little town of Dauin-- we did a little walk about in town on a Sunday which was market day and enjoyed the vibe of the town. We took two trips by jeepney into Dumaguete--36 pesos each round trip--about 30 minutes each way to Robinsons Mall. We recommend this place to anyone staying in the area--especially divers. Oh did I mention they have a great underused pool? We do plan on returning sometime next year and look forward to it very much. PS--nice restaurant and b

I had a very good stay ate Mike's Resort. It is small but extremely pleasant and well laid out. There were not a lot of people staying there at the time which I think helped to make our stay more relaxed and pleasant. The food is very good value for money and as good as I have had anywhere in the Philippines. Although it is a dive resort there are plenty of land based things to see and do. The falls near Dumagute were well worth a visit as was the Wednesday market south of Mike's at the town of Malatapay. Not to be missed but go early. I would definitely recommend Mike's Dauin Beach Resort if you plan on staying around Dumaguete.

Great Little Beach / Dive Resort ”
2nd time to stay at Mike's. As long as I go back to Dumaguete again, there will be more stays here....why chance another place when this one can't be beat. Good bar and restaurant and swimming pool / gardens right out my door, beach not much further - maybe 50 yards and only a couple of blocks from Dauin town and 8-10 miles to Dumaguete, straight shot up the highway, a fun ride on a rented scooter. Mike's has dive / snorkel trips to Apo Island and several other places only a short boat ride away, you can even snorkel off the beach at the resort. Small 8 room resort is almost like being at home, only the scenery, garden/ landscaping, restaurant and staff are much better than at my house. :-)

Awesome Experience at Mike's”
We went as a group of 4 to dive in the Dauin Area. The staff was VERY accommodating to our schedule and what we wanted to do. The dive instructors and guides were very knowledgeable, fun, and definitely took us to great spots. I would highly recommend staying at this resort when visiting Dauin. Mike's is also a short boat ride away to Apo Island (40 minutes) and Oslob/Sumilon Island (1 hr).

Excellent!”
Our stay was excellent! The first thing that stands out is the staff very friendly, and works hard to make your stay pleasant... and taught his staff to do the same. This stood out from the shoddy customer service we had pretty much everywhere else we had been for the few weeks previous to our stay (even in far more expensive hotels). Mike's is definitely a dive resort. If you're not a diver, though, the beach there is nice (you can swim in water that's not full of seagrass!), there is sailing, a nice pool, and easy access to trips elsewhere on the island. You also might end up up trying a discover scuba course, or even getting padi certified, although there is no pressure to do either. While not divers ourselves, we were told by visiting divers that Mike's equipment is of the best quality. The bar and restaurant were nice, the food was moderately priced (but really good!).. it was also the first place we went to where a fruit smoothy didn't have loads of sugar poured into it! Expect to pay about 250 pisos for a tricycle from the port to the hotel, 300 from the airport. All in all, we'd highly recommend staying at Mike's!

Great small hotel on beach”
Mike runs an excellent hotel...is directly on the beach...only 8 rooms (all with AC and fan), nice pool, has his own boat for diving and snorkel trips...you can see Apo Island from the hotel and is only 45min by boat...and mountain jungle adventures can be arranged also. Dumaguete City is crowded, but Mike's Resort is only 15mins drive and very private on the beach...a great base for adventures around Dumaguate....or to do nothing but read a book by the pool...a great place

Nice resort in Dauin”
Beautiful resort next to the beach. The rooms were adequate with warm shower, AC and a TV. The restaurant food was good. Had the grilled fish buffet one night with excellent vegetable Panzit. The night security guard doubles as the grill master. He also had coffee waiting for us in the morning. We found all of the staff friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange tours, stored our luggage, arranged taxis. Went the extra mile for sure. I would say this resort caters to divers, but there is plenty of other activities to do on the island in addition to diving or snorkeling. We would definitely stay there again if we get to Dauin again.

Friendly, cozy hotel”
Mike's Beach Resort was pleasant with a friendly staff and good food. The restaurant offered a good special each night for a decent value. Easy access to Apo Island for awesome snorkeling and diving. However, the first floor rooms are a bit more public than we hoped. Would probably choose a room on second floor if had a second chance. Still, overall, a great deal for a comfortable stay.
