Hotel have shuttle bus from train station, but the day I went very full. Nice outdoor onsen, staff friendly but poor communication in English.

First thing, the place is very nice, mostly locals which is what i really like as there are not many rowdy tourists around. Breakfast is pretty boring, but i guess i have been spoilt by the extensive breakfast spread provided by other Japanese Ski Resorts in Hokkaido. Room is big and clean. Staff are helpful in the best they could but it will be better if there are more English speaking staff, or at least basic English lessons for the existing staff will be good. Let down: I emailed my shuttle reservation to and fro afew days before my arrival. The pickup at Jomo-Kogen station was smooth. However I requested for the return trip to stop at Minakami station ( in the standard shuttle bus route provided online) as I had booked another shuttle for my next leg at Minakami station. Emailed reservation was confirmed and when i board the shuttle bus, the driver showed me the list with my name at the first stop which is Minakami station. He did not stop at Minakami station but went straight to Jomo-Kogen station. I waited at Jomo-Kogen station for the rest of new arriving guest so that the driver could drop me at Minakami station after picking up all those new arriving guests. I wrote in to feedback on this as it caused me great inconvenience The staff replied amd mentioned that the driver did announce that if no one is alighting at Minakami station he will not stop there in Japanese. First, I do not understand Japanese hence i booked everything in advance in email thinking that it will be communicated and arranged properly. Second, i clearly saw my name on the list under the first stop station and why was it not followed? Hotel staff did email me to ask for the address at where i am putting up at so that the driver could personally apologize to me. I am thankful for that gesture but I do not want to put the driver through anything like that. I just hope that the hotel could step up on the communications with the staff and also to maybe employ more English speaking

comfortable stay in the mountains”

I went in mid-November, hoping to see the leaves changing color. It turned out that this resort is so high in the mountains that it was already snowing (whereas most of the area, e.g. Jomo Kogen station, was awash in autumn hues). The cold weather made the outdoor baths quite an enjoyable experience; the indoor baths were fine too. This hotel is a bit on the older side but clean and comfortable. Instead of going to the restaurant I ordered room service instead, and the pasta was decent. The gift shop has quite a lot to offer in the way of drinks, snacks, and local food products. This would be a great stay during the ski/snowboard season, and also in the summer and warmer spring months, as there are so many options for outdoor activities. Families with kids would have a good time. Staff was polite; they let me check in early.

Did not enjoy ”

Not enjoyable - not one of the 200 staff spoke English, so the check in was bumbled through while two other girls at the front desk giggled at the poor guy. The food options were very limited... ¥5500 for Italian food (very expensive) or ¥4400 each for a buffet which consisted of the worst food we have had in Japan. No other restaurants around as it was so tempted so we tried to buffet. Awful food. Reheated schnitzel, flavourless soup, chewy tofu.... The worst food we have had in Japan and the most expensive. I will not stay here again and I can not recommend it to anyone

The breakfast and dinner is not up to standard the food is cold and there isn’t enough variety for us to choose from the ski area is nice and the hotspring had very good view the room Is nice and clean and new

Good for skiing activity the room Is new and clean but the dinner was really bad the food is cold and there is not alot of variety to chose from the hotspring was good and the outdoor one has good view

Great outdoor onsen”

Good place for ski resort. Room quite small and so hot although opened the air vent with outside temp 1 °c At first I expected to play rafting snow but I can't reserve. Queue already full. I love outdoor onsen in here.

カベタイルにカビが少々とバス内の排水口が臭うかバス内のカーテンか汗臭かった!?あり得ません残念です。
