This inn is definitely the best value for your money. The location is so, so convenient. It is old (which gives it character) but everything is clean and the owners are super nice and take time to explain not only the simple but sufficient facilities but also the local area. I've stayed in the past and will stay again.

A very warm family. a talkative grandma, a kind highschool boy and a nice father, not so workable when using English but with patient all the time.that would be a brilliant choice if you willing to feel some real traditional Japanese style room，also with great location just face next to the shirahama beach. One more thing, check out at next day to the Kumono Taisha, to ask if could put some luggages at there for a day and being approved by the father, that really help us a lot and make me a great impression at shirahama, Thank you！

5 mins walk from shirahama beach bus stop. Room was fine, they even prepare a set of yukata in the room. The small tub to soak your tired body or feet is really convenient although it is pretty run down, but it pretty clean. However you can practically hear every noise outside your room, when people walk around the house, cough, sneeze or talk. Also you can hear the noise from the road when car or people pass by.

Near the beach, walk around 5 min. Staff was very nice. Big room, clean, surround with restaurant. This place far from the shirahama station but they have bus or you can contact the owner.

Let than 5 minutes walk to the beach ”
Traditional Minshuku homestay, nice owner with limited English. You could feel how Japanese take their vacation in the pass. Walking distance 24 hours supermarket. 15 minutes walk to an Onsen by the sea (Saki no yu 崎之湯 )Downside is no bathroom and toilet in the room but have a little old onsen. With this price is reasonable.

1 minute to the beach, an old charming traditional minshuku. This is not a 5-star boutique hotel so don't expect frosted backlit mirrors and iPads. Lovely host, clean room and immaculate bedding. A good night's sleep at a bargain price in a perfect location - that's it.

Walk distance to shirarahama beach”
Tatami room with aircon is great. Host is awesome, although he doesn't speak much English but he tried his very best to answer any question. There is only one bath room and two toilets in the hostel, it's not a problem because I don't see anyone queue for their turn, most people spent their time at the beach.

It was a great surprise staying at this place! Its a very traditional japanese house. The room is spacious and i slept on a tatami. There is a beautiful garden and the owner of the place is very polite and kind. Its location is great! Close to the beach, shops and bus stop. And they offer a bicycle for you to explore the beatiful city.

Perfect to stay the night close to the beach”
Can't beat the location. It's very basic Japanese room, but very spacious! Bathroom is very basic, but hey as along as it's clean, two minutes from the beach, and has AC to cool down your sun burn, what else can I ask for. Recommended for family, on a budget, that needs a room to sleep and will spend the day on the beach

Had a wonderful stay here I enjoyed the traditional Japanese style bed. It was comfy and clean. Equipment was well provided. The little landscape and garden ponds, really boosted the atmosphere. Loved it. I really appreciated the host. He was extremely helpful and passionate as being a host and local. He introduced us all the infor about this city, such as transport, food, store, famous hot spring....... Location is good, least than 5 mins to the beach. Everything is fine here.

Convenient and good for price”
Simple check in with the landlord introduced the room and shared toilet and shower. Near bus stop S15 and supermarket. The beach is close to the bus stop. The wall paper was stained and shower/bath is old. Overall, we had a good stay there.

Owner is really helpful. Very friendly and offer help. Location is next to the beach and is the centre area of the region indeed, excellent. The bath is not bad. It has a small in the centre as well. Feel really great. Recommend to everyone unless luxury is the only thing on your mind

The building is a bit old, but the remnants of Japanese style architecture are seen here and there. Now I can witness a wonderful technique of craftsmen who no longer can make. It is also nice to have carp swimming in the pond in the courtyard.

Lovely traditional Japanese accommodation”
We enjoyed our stay very much, but beware that the local water from the hot spring makes the place smell a bit funny. The facilities are all shared traditional japanese, but it is therefore a bargain. Beds are futons, but comfortable ones compared to others we stayed on!
