Simple but original homestay”
The owner is always an important factor in a homestay since you usually live close to the family. This one was very friendly and talkative. The rooms are simple with the beds only average, but a private bathroom.

Kind boss, kind lady, comfortable bed, beautiful green tea field in front of the house. Everything is perfect. And I was nominated as the son-in-law of the boss's daughter. 😄

The location of the homestay to start with was not ideal...takes around 15 to 20 minutes to Moc Chau town and only accesible via a taxi which costs 50k VND each trip. The hot shower was not working and there were plumbing issues which were not looked into. The toilet was not cleaned regularly. To make things worse, the owners demanded more than 3 times the amount which was indicated on Agoda. Poor communication due to their inability to speak basic English. Overall, not a tourist friendly place unless you speak vietnamese.

The homestay is a hidden gem, located amid tea gardens. The room is large , comfortable and cheap but what really makes it special is the owner Mr Hung. He welcomed us with tea and pipe, rented a motorbike for a bargain price and made sure we catch a bus to Dien Bien Phu. Despite he speaks basic English we had lots of fun chatting with him. Very warm, truly hospitable person.

The owner of the homestay is a very nice and friendly person, you can feel like you are staying in your own house. The food cooked by them is delicious especially the hotpot. The room and toilet are clean. Highly recommended homestay in moc chau.
