The place is very easy to find. Alot of rooms to choose from, air conditioned rooms to fan rooms. All rooms comes with fresh clean towels, toilet paper and small bar of soap. The only con is that the shower in the room that we stayed in doesn't really work, but they have a pale and a tabo for baths. Very friendly owners and staff. Convenient to anything.

If you want a cheap and affordable stay and a nearby/ front beach, try this. It has a wide parking lot. Near to a lot of restaurants and cafes. For the shared bathroom, it can be improved especially with cleanliness. I just want to recommend also, if there is a misunderstanding with other customers or personnel, I hope it will be treated professionally since we heard a lot of arguments during our checkout day. Nonetheless, I feel homey staying at Monaliza Surf Resort. Thank you.

It was not indicated here that the restroom was sharing. I even called the agoda customer service and they also said that the room we picked has a private bathroom. Good catch na sana yung room kasi beach view tapos nasa taas pa. kaso we want to have a private restroom so we end up changing at the last minute. I wished they have breakfast also. Ms. Mona, the owner was very nice to reply in every sms that I sent her. We were also lucky that the seagames 2019 was held in front of the resort the same dates that we stayed.

This is very interesting place to stay. You have very nice view from the cottage. What is bad the restroom in down the stairs and what is worse the door was occupied all day long by Jehovas whiteness. Any time you go there they are there, they have to leave your way with smile always. Very embarrassing for me. Other problem is very loud music until 1-2am, the rule is until 10pm but they do not care. And the music is from both sides so you have to listen to two songs in one time always. And they have really good quality speakers, maybe because of the big waves :)

A very no good experience ”
Very unsatisfied, it was supposed to be a relaxing trip but it turned out to be a stressful one. No one from the resort is approachable, there was this big guy who seems irate when we ask him about the settlement of the room. The price also is too expensive. Poor service very poor.

This is probably the worst place we have stayed in our 3 months in the Philippines. The room and bathroom was filthy windows never cleaned it had mould and mildew everywhere and absolutely stank. Quite an unhealthy place to stay. No hot water as advertised. The area surrounding the rooms is a shit hole - it’s like a rubbish tip/building site Staff pretty unhelpful and only appeared as they saw us about to check out . We only stayed despite the awful reviews because there was nowhere else They advertise on agoda the price being knocked down from 4000 to 1350 - there’s no way on this earth the room could possibly be worth 4000. I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in there if there had to be a next time Agoda you need to check the descriptions before letting them advertise on here!

Place is really affordable and in the center of the city so you can easily roam around and find restaus and shops. Only con is ac in our room was not cool enough and fan when turned on was too loud. Bfast is basic but considering the price, it's a good deal. You can always order other food in their menu (w additional cost ofc)

I recommend this if you are looking for an beach front accommodation for a cheap price. Place is near Flotsam and other restaurants. Staff are also approachable. The rooms we booked are different from the ones they gave us but its ok. Still spacious for our group. Cons: Not recommended for family with kids since its beside Tavern and the music is so loud until past 2am. Also need bathroom upgrade, toilet flash does not work. Overall we still had a good stay.

Very disappointing, misleading photos, room and bathroom dirty”
One of the worst rooms I have booked. The room we got looked nothing like in the pictures shown. The parking area was terrible and was not pleasant. The parking was expensive at 200 Pesos, the parking attendants are taking advantage of people. The rooms were dirty and not clean, cobwebs everywhere, the sheets and pillowcase were dirty, a foul smell in the room when you entered the room. Bathroom was dirty also, dead bugs everywhere, no heated shower. The curtains are see-through and people can see from outside. There was no soap or shampoo or even a bottled water in the room. We stayed for less than 3 hours at Monaliza Surf Resort and we got our bags and headed out and found another room that was much cleaner. If you want a really budget hotel, this is it. If you have standards and cleanliness, it is worth paying more for a better hotel and room as there is plenty around the area.
