This is the first time that i’m reviewing here on agoda. I have booked around 20times here on app but it seems this is the first accommodation worthy of review! Honest feedback: Pros: Strategic location! Costs only 10php per ride to downtown dumaguete. Superb quality! The building is literally new. Good customer service via FB page! They were able to accommodate my questions within a reasonable amount of time. We checked in around 8pm and we had trouble finding it first. But io and behold there’s an ate outside patiently waiting for us. Wow! They also just opened a cafe downstairs! Sad to say it wasnt open when we stayed. Honest Cons: Room 2A balcony cannot be locked, it seems that the doorknob socket on the wall hole is not deep enough. But no worries. Booked for 2 but only one towel was received. (We didn’t bother requesting another one as we are prepared! Lol. There’s no need and we are being accommodated really well) This was actually our 2nd choice. (Harold’s was the first) but comparing Harold vs Monica’s is a no brainer. I inquired via harold and their first response was to deposit to their bdo account without even answering my question. And compared to the room we got vs the price difference, Monica’s place is a must.

Reliable and generous host”
This property is really accessible from the city. Near church, food resto, market and park. The host is very reliable, literally, just one text or call away. Our check in time was 2pm but since we arrived in Sibulan airport (Dumaguete) around 5am, the host let us checked in early. Not just that, she also let us checked out late. 12nn is the scheduled check out and our flight back to Manila is 6pm and I tried to ask them if we can have a late check out since we still have a scheduled one day Valencia tour on our last day and luckily, the host let us stay until anytime we want. Take note, no additional charges to pay. It was an unforgettable vacation indeed, everything was perfect 👌

The room quality fits the value for money. Pwede syang lakarin to Siliman Univ, Boulevard, and others. Medyo nahirapan lang kami sumakay ng tricycle to and from the homestay. The cellular signal, mahina talaga sa area compared sa MNL, kaya medyo mabagal din yung wifi/ data access. But since madalas kaming nasa labas lang for a tour, satisfied kami sa homestay. May restaurant din sila sa unit so no need na to go out early morning or late night to satisfy our cravings. :)

I would say they have clean rooms. Apparently, no elevator yet. You have to use the stairs and it's so steep. One disadvantage is that they have no GY reception and if you have concerns, there's a chance they can't attend to it right away. But the owner is very accommodating though.

Builder was very accommodating to me when I didn’t like one room they switch me to another which was much better and further away street. But still extremely noisy felt like the window was completely opened but it was not in the street noise was too much. The room was clean. I want kilometer away from the beach
