The staff are good and friendly. They are like family. The foods are good and delicious but somehow pricey. The owner of the resort are friendly and like a family. I love the fact that the pool are always cleaned. It is a good way to unwind and just to get away in stressful world of work

We did enjoy our stay. The owner is friendly, accomodating and kind enough for letting us use better room from what we booked. It just unfortunate there was a power line transmission problem that made our stay cut short.

Great family-friendly resort”

I was really impressed with our room...it was big, very clean, and had a nice bathroom. The staff was very helpful and the resort offers many amenities: a big pool, videoke, billiard, water sports. The resort's activities kept everyone busy. Next time, we definitely want to try the watersports.

huge mistake. waste of money”

worst! room is like an old stock room. beds are literally side by side. washrooms are all shared. 1 small pool for more than 20 people. price is too much for the place, the entire place. lake is not connected to the resort which is not stated in their ad. deceiving photos. we actually left the place after 2 hours of trying to get hold if it. caretaker was nice though. but it doesn't compensate the stay. hope this helps.

Checking-in (there was no central reception and no staff to be seen) took half an hour, and then we had to wait an hour for sub-standard food from a very basic menu. No towels in the bedroom, the air con did not work properly in one room and neither did the TV. No Wi-Fi in the room or resort, contrary to hotel description. Rooms were bare with no sheets on the bed, no storage or wardrobes. The toilet/shower was shared and not private. No "coffee shop" as stated, just a few tables and a basic bar, but finding staff was almost impossible. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and we checked out at the earliest opportunity.

We had a very peaceful and relaxing 3 day stay! The owner personally made sure that all our needs and requests are met, he even accompanied us to our boat trip, island hopping, horseback riding and finally to a one of a kind experience trekking the Taal Volcano crater! Highly recommended!

Great family resort”

Great family resort for a very realxing weekend, very nice personnel, the food is good, interesting procedures. Perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy a nice weekend in quiet atmosphere outside thr city. A bit difficult to reach if you go at night. Try always to get there in the morning, a bit difficult to reach. Fully recommend it!

Peaceful Resort with Great Staff”

I had an awesome stay at the Resort for 3 nights. I almost felt like being a part of the family, which welcomed me very warmly and helped me with all my wishes. Although I have been travelling alone, there were a lot of nice people (mainly philippinos) I met, so the time went by really quickly. The resort offered a huge range of activites ranging from diving, jetskies, banana boat to climbing or simply renting bikes. Also, the resort itself had a huge swimming pool, ping pong, billiards and courts for basketball and volleyball. Just be aware of the fact that the accomodation is in typical philippino housing, which makes it quite simplistic. As for the location, the resort is reachable from Manila within 2 hours (drive to Tanauan city with the bus and then taxi to the resort for around 5km) and has a nice lakeside location overlooking the gorgeous Taal lake. Having been to a couple of other hotels and resorts prior to de Leonardo resort, this was the first place that actually offered authentic philippino food in form of a buffett for unbeatable prices (200Php).

Beautiful Resort located near Taal lake”

Montecillo de Leonardo Resort was such a great place to stay. We stayed here with for almost 4 days. First, it is located near the Taal Volcano where you can do horse riding and taking photos of the great view of the volcano. Second, they offer a lot of water activies and sports such as jetzki, swimming, riding in a motor boat for sight-seeing, basketball, volleyball and more. Third, the food was great and served on time. We also enjoyed singing karaoke and lastly, the crews and even the owner are friendly and were always standby to provide your needs and assistance.
