"This was not the first or stay for me and will not be the last. The location is great for me for this trip I have had quite a lot of dental work done at the Mall of Asia. It is also very close to the Airport for my over night stay on Arrival and departure. The room service is very nice and well priced. The free in room WiFi is quite fast for Manila. Over all I have stayed in Many different hotels in Manila and this is just right for me. Location, Price and quality are all well above the average in Manila. Many thanks to all the staff we look forward to our next stay. "

"We booked them with a 24-hours birthday discount promo just days before our agoda booking, let's just say the hotel provided better bedding when we did it through Agoda. They gave us actual blankets instead of just thin sheets this time. Staff are friendly, courteous and very professional. Mind you, if you are fine with a room with pretty much no window (don't even expect a view) and they have no restaurant everything is room service, this place is a nice place for any short stay or layover stay in Manila. We personally like it for its safe and reliable car service to take us to the airport. Free breakfast was decent and fast too. ^_^"

"Our 2nd stay in the Sohotel Malate Boutique was again very comfortable and relaxing. The front desk is always open 24hrs and quite fast in giving you a room. The staff is very helpful in carrying your luggage and guiding you to the room. There you will get your welcome drink too of course. The Food there is really really awesome and delicious and a very huge variety and offer! Also the breakfast is tasty and enough! The bed is quite comfortable -- it is a leather matrace. The room is clean, but some rooms (especially the floors) look a bit used. We had a Deluxe room with Jacuzzi, fridge and DVD Player. The Jacuzzi is also nice and big, but if you bubble it then its a bit smelling... All in all it was a really great stay in our favourite Hotel in Manila! Of course we will return soon!"

"I have always been in hotels in UK, Singapore, Dubai etc where we have lots of facilitys, first hotel in Philippines and simple facilities as Kettle, Hair dryer, some empty cups/glasses etc were nothing availabe. I think they should consider that international customers do need some facilities like these. Overall the hotel was fantastic, clean rooms, warm welcome from staff and near to the city life. Satisfied :-)"

"when i booked this hotel i done so based on the reviews, i was slightly confused when we arrived first of all at the wrong hotel...there are a number of these hotels in manila so ensure when you get in taxi that the driver actually knows the one you are staying at. we were under the illusion we were staying nearer the mall that we were. i requested an early check in, didn't ever get a response but we were allowed to check in around 7am, however you then have to check out 24 hours after you check in, so we then had to check out that time on departure, this wasn't clarified. food was very good and reasonable, hotel rooms are very dark but hot showers."

" We paid over the odds for a taxi to this hotel so firstly we recfomend gettin uber installed on your phone upon arriving to the Philippines. That was nothing to do with the hotel though.. As 2 westerners who have been travelling for over 3 months, we wasnt prepared for Manila. No one ever told us were to stay or what to expect. We are vloggers and have our camera on us at all times. Santa Mesa wasnt the place to be vlogging. The staff were great in our hotel, we felt very safe and they helped anyway they could but we was told dont go out after dark and stay on main roads when your out. This isnt something you take with a pinch of salt. We left our room at 11am for a wander and were shocked to see homeless and street kids almost naked in there 100s. We comstantly got stared at and asked for money and then on top of that we were followed by 2 men for about 5 mins down a road which was very intimidating were we took shelter in 7/11 until we could sneak out of a diifernt door while they waited outside. we had paid for 5 days in this hotel which i cannot fault but the area was intimidating and as a female i genuinly was scared for my safety when i left the grounds. which i needed to do to eat! If its a layover you want to get the boat to coron, then uber to the hotel and then uber from the hotel to the pier, other than that i reccomend makati.. we stayed for 5 days as we arrived on a thursday had to extend our visa on the monday and leave for palawan via boat on the tuesday. unfortunate that this hotel is in the area i felt so unsafe but if your familiar with these type of town then you will be ok but nothin prepared us for the amount of street kids homless and people with guns. there was signs outside shops saying please deposit your firearms in the box before entering, including metal detectors just to get into the mall which we havent experienced anywhere else in philippines.. Huge culture shock for us. but again? nothing to do with the hotel, as i boo"

"Stay here only if you are stuck in this part of the old city. Otherwise a little bit comfortable considering what the rest of that very old part of Manila is like. The visitors seem to be local or catering to short time guests. The internet sometimes works sometimes doesn't. The facilities are very old and dark a bit spooky maybe. I will not return unless again I happen to be stuck or stranded in this part of the city."

"If you wish to stay there for at least 12 hrs or less, simply go there instead of booking online. It is not worth the money. The room was a bit small and the toothpaste and soap were not free. I think this is not good for "decent" travelers unless you are there with someone who wants to have a quickie fun as what I read on the wall. Overall, not a good place to stay for a group and the breakfast too isn't worth your money. Find somewhere else. I recommend the hotel I first booked in North Edsa. I just chose this because I thought this was near the mall and my sister's place/"
