" I stayed at Mottram Hall over the late May bank holiday weekend whilst attending a wedding in a nearby town. This is a beautiful looking hotel with well maintained grounds and interior. The hotel was always clean and the staff were polite. However, staff weren't always particularly helpful, and it often took a long time to be served in the restaurant, worse still, during one dinner I had at the restaurant I felt hassled by a waiter who was keen to free up the table. The room itself wasn't ideal, I was placed by the stairs and it was very noisy in the evenings and mornings, which was certainly not the fault of the hotel but more could be done in future to insulate that wall, should permission be granted for that sort of renovation. Overall my stay was nice, but the high cost of the room (likely as a result of the bank holiday) did not match the standard of room or service."
