Excellent”
The hotel is 5 stars and I paid a lot of money for 6 nights but what I did not expect is the decorations of the rooms is very old and poor and on the 29 of December at night I ordered a Resturant from out side and when it arrived this guy from the reception called me and told me that I have to go down to get the Resturant and I did and when. I Went down he did not let the delivery guy to enter and told me that I have to go out and go to the exit where the cars leave the hotel in the cold to collect my meal.

One of the most mediocre five-star hotels”
While not a disaster, our stay at the Moevenpick Beirut could be best described as MEDIOCRE. The check-in process was not a pleasant one. From an in-attentive receptionist that could not muster a single smile, even if a fake one, during the whole time. The room was fine, at best. It was small (not cosy), but we have no complaints about its cleanness or tidiness. The daily maid/cleaning was steady but not spectacular; you could see that the glass sheet underneath the TV was not cleaned, with prints and dust all over it. Iftar buffet was adequate with some excellent dishes, but also some not so-excellent ones. It is a shame because one would expect a uniform level of excellence from a Moevenpick buffet at a price of a ridiculous 48 USD/person. We give our best marks for location and facility. View of the sea is lovely, though the water was not clean for swimming (beach area was also not that clean). Swimming pools are excellent, with an Olympic size one for exercising and a huge nicely-designed other for lounging. There is not much to do outside the hotel; the corniche area can be a bit intimidating for a woman on her own, with frequent thug-looking men strolling in packs of 3 or 4. Taking a taxi to the lovely downtown area is a 11-15 USD ride from the hotel. Always take a taxi from the hotel if possible, even if you have to pay more. We're not sure about how safe it is to stop a taxi from the street. Also make sure the car has the designated red license plate. If you have to take a taxi randomly, remember to always negotiate and never accept the initial price thrown at you. Would we come back? Maybe, if we have to, and if we want to enjoy the pool. We would certainly consider other options if we knew of another place with better value for money & 'smilier' faces! A smile goes a long way, and genuine customer service can make up for lack of location or posh. Moevenpick needs to hire more smiles because they have virtually none.

I was humiliated but you have to check the booking online and don't confuse Booker

Wonderful stay at the Movenpick”
Just back from a wonderful five-night stay at the Movenpick. The room I had was spacious, very comfortable with ample storage space & the housekeeping team kindly came to clean the room everyday. The staff at the Movenpick in particular were so friendly & welcoming & incredibly helpful. I am already missing the vibrancy & bustle of Beirut & would not hesitate to stay at the Movenpick again should I visit the city again. Thank you for a really wonderful stay.

Mold!!!! Stay away ”
Every room has mold and smells of mold and mold all over the ceiling. The rooms are very small even if you have a deluxe sea view it’s small and for $300 a night go stay at Eden bay or summer land. DONT NOT STAY HERE you will regret It. Also their pool plays no music and has bad service

Tolles Hotel”
