The GLasshouse is First Class”

The Glasshouse is perhaps the best accommodation we've enjoyed during our three weeks of touring in Ireland, they got it all right! Though the décor is a bit dated with its '60's colors, we had a large room with a great view, fully-provisioned bathroom, excellent WiFi, free underground parking, and the price was a bargain for the value (note: we were travelling during the shoulder season). The only demerit would be the room's air-conditioning/heating system. Fortunately, we didn't need it, but when we tested it, it was INCREDIBLY LOUD, we could have never slept with it on. And, the staff at breakfast never smiled and seemed generally harried and unhappy, but, perhaps expected at any hotel. If we're ever this way again, we'll absolutely stay at the Glasshouse again!

We had a suite which was huge in size, on the corner of the building, with views over the bridge and river. King size bed and very comfortable. Parking underneath the hotel was great and only 3 euro a night. Perfect location and staff were great. Has a bar & resthat were both good. Would definitely stay here again.

Mixed aged group. stopped off here in what can only be described as the best hotel in Sligo great experience again as I visit this hotel on most of my visits to Ireland.

Great location but not a 4* hotel”

It is in a great location and the staff were great, I was just surprised that it was a 4*. There are none of the facilities you expect from a 4* here. The room was nicely decorated but very basic. There were no temperature controls so had to leave the window open over night as it was so hot, which then made the room very noisy as the street below was so loud. The carpets in the halls looked dirty and as I had bought this as a gift I felt a bit embarrassed bringing my guest into what I had told her was the best hotel ii could find. Was a bit disappointed. Overall it wasn't a bad stay, I just had higher expectations.

Good hotel”

location is in city center on the river side. room is clean and comfortable. wi-fi is only in the public area(no wi-fi in the room). staffs are friendly and helpful.

Glasshouse Hotel Sligo”

Overall, this hotel is really well situated with good facilities and a central location. Although I only stayed two nights, I found the staff to be really helpful, flexible and interested. When we arrived back at the hotel at 3.30am the night porter was very quick and friendly in letting us in. The only problem I had with the hotel is that the room was rather hot and without air con this could be a problem during the warmer months. I had to open the balcony door to let some cooler air in, which also let alot of noise in from the fast flowing river below (all natural noise, of course) which took away from the overall sound proof-ish qualities of such a modern hotel. Would I stay there again?.. Yes. Should you?.. If you want somewhere right in the town centre with no fuss and all the conveniences (including free parking), then yes, absolutely.

Zimmer war bei der Ankunft überhitzt und musste erst einmal runtergekühlt werden. Bei Frühstück waren alle Safttrinkglässer schmutzig.
