Serviced Apartments Wexford

The location was good .it was clean .

had been messaging the facility for a couple of weeks prior to us going to the wexford apartments .I asked could they give us the necessary information on our stay i.e apartment number entry where to get keys .we arrived on the day with two teenagers who were cold and getting wet from the rain we had no idea of our apartment no clue where to get the keys I called them up many times but got no answer .we ended up walking about a mile to tesco.so that the kids could get warm and sheltered and get a warm drink .I messaged booking .com who gave me the housekeepers number and it was only then when I called her that we were able to return to the apartments and gain entry.we had to walk all the way back to the apartments.ive never had a problem with any bookings before on booking.com but I think it is disgraceful that we had to endure this after travelling for hours from Scotland..the boiler was very noisey hard to sleep at night with the noise it made.the door hinges on the wardrobe were hanging off...

The housekeeper Betty did an excellent job and had far more responsibility sorting out the problems at the property than she should have...she was the only saving grace and was really lovely and apologetic.

We didn't have any hot water and the electric shower was unsafe as it was established that the thermostat wasn't working so you either froze or scalded and despite Betty the housekeepers best effort at sorting out a heating/ plumber to fix the problems this wasn't actually done until our last but one day. I have repeatedly requested some compensation for the inconvenience but the landlord is obviously quite happy to take your money and not really care about the standard of the facilities or to even check if they are in working order and has not responded once...strange as he responded quite quickly on contact before I paid for our stay. Wexford I would highly recommend and Betty too but I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone as the landlord didn't answer any of my calls or emails from day one after my arrival the only point of contact was Betty. I guess he wasn't bothered then as we had paid him already I wouldn't be surprised if he knew that neither shower were in working order when we booked.

Carpeted bedrooms, smell of smoke from previous occupants, could have done with a deep clean, we hoovered up a lot of material under beds when we moved them.

NOT a B&B

The operation instructions for the electric hob were NOT available. This caused problems helpfully solved with the help of the cleaner Betty! A big minus.The water pumping system was also not on the house instruction book. The NONSTICK frying pan needs replacing. The

overall a pleasant trip with ver little to complain about view was lovely and there were all the amenities that you would want

I did not like anything about the property, when we open the door it smelt musty and stale. it was very mismatched furniture, very old utensils, in the bedrooms, rock hard towels, various colours and sizes. hair on bottom of the bath.

we stayed in the property for one hour and ended up leaving, we tried to contact the owner who has not helped at all we did not stay for four nights and had to pay for it. We did not want to put our children down on any of the furniture as they smelled musty and dirty. i’ve never come across such a rundown place. The pictures that are advertised or not the pictures of the apartment we stayed in.

Noisy boiler

The location was perfect for me as I wanted to be somewhere away from the main drag. It is very quiet at night. The owner was good enough to arrange for keys to be left as I was unsure of arrival time and didn't want to bother the housekeeper to come out at night on the eve of St Patrick's Day.

It's around 5 years since I last stayed in this apartment and at that time it was absolutely fine. This time it was not clean by any means. Black mould in the grout and sealant around the bath to the extent where I wouldn't use it - I actually went out and bought my own products to attempt to clean it. The skirting boards in all rooms were thick with dust, fluff and hair and the crockery all had to be washed before use. The dining chairs were up on the table when I arrived, so I guess the laminate floor had at least been mopped! Had it not been that there was no other accommodation available in town at that time (St Patrick's Day celebrations), I wouldn't have stayed. The only saving grace was that the bed linen was fresh and clean. I'm not a clean freak and, having backpacked around the world, I don't have unrealistic expectations when it comes to accommodation, but I would not stay here again. Normally I would leave accommodation as clean as (or cleaner than) I found it, but after having swept the kitchen floor there wasn't even a dustpan to pick up the debris. There were no instructions for the digital halogen hob and when I called to housekeeper to enquire about operation I was told she didn't know how it worked either - someone else had had a problem and she got out an engineer who said it was working fine, so maybe I could Google it!!! The final insult was when I received a text the evening before departure, asking what time I would be leaving the following day. Check-out time of 10.30am is very clearly stated on the documentation! I'm not a serial complainer and have agonised over writing an unfavourable review, but this is one occasion when I think people really do need to be made aware of the situation. If you're just looking for somewhere to sleep with a bunch of friends down for the Wexford nightlife for the weekend, then maybe you'd find it ok.

Stayed for one week in the apartment when settled in Ireland. The apartment has everything I needed. It was comfortable and clean.

1) The Property was not the same one advertised. We have pictures to prove this 2) Their was mould in the bath rooms (have pictures) and dust in the cupboards. 3) The furniture and bed linen were dated and uncomfortable 4) Only 2 of the radiators worked 5) Boiler was noisy. Woken up during the night when it would suddenly start making banging noise

The apartment had a dreadful smell of cigarettes.we tried everything to get rid of smell .we bought candles etc

The property was in a good location.

we're to start not very clean could do with a total makeover internet no good tv just Irish stations,not good value for money at all.

Beds needed a change, and towels, not fresh, try using a lauding company if can’t do yourself.

Lovely location, near the harbor and a 5 minute drive from town.
