Not as bad as reviews I read”
I read terrible reviews before I came here and was dreading it. However we arrived after 5pm and a quick phone call we had out keys and in the room. Staff were very friendly. The bathroom has been refurbished, just that day I believe and was clean, as was the room, and there was plenty tea making facilities. It was a bit noisy being beside the main road but with the window closed it was fine and it's an old house so there's a lot of creaky floorboards upstairs. The worst part was the mattress, I could feel bits of metal spring poking into me during the night. Replace the mattresses and it would be fine.

This was overpriced and awful”
Talking to check in via telephone which is only answered 50% of the time. Room was at first glance okay, but shower was out of order, sink had no plug and water ran down the pedestal onto the floor. No hanger in the wardrobe and lights held together by tape. All in all £175 rip of just because there was a rugby match on. I would love to upload my phots but no facility to do so. Avoid.

This was a terrible experience. The twin room was in a basement, the bathroom smelt so bad we cokd barely use it. Mould and dirty. The room also felt unclean, bobbly old sheets and duvet covers. Broken light shades and bare bulbs. Big hole in curtain. No staff on duty to sort out issues. No fan working in bathroom. Emailed and texted owners multiple times to give them the chance to sort out issues before writing this review....I still have not had a reply. Really one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. Not recommended one bit! If I could attach my photos to this review I would to show you how appalling this room was.

Smoking in the building, noise until 330am, linen bags in the hallways ... It wasn't a pleasant stay. If you want a good sleep, look elsewhere.

Pleasantly Suprised ”
Double room with shared Bathroom booked for a business trip. Check in was staright forward rang number on door and was given clear concise instructions by a helpful lady on the phone. Room was big, clean and had everything i needed. Tea/Coffee provided, towels and tolietries as well. WiFi signal was good. Bed was fairly comfy my only suggestion would be better pillows but that may be down to personal choice. overall very pleasant experience.

De kamer is een ideale uitvalsbasis voor het bezoek aan Edinburch, busstation dichtbij, redelij¨k goede plaats, best ok wat betreft hygiëne, oud herenhuis met charme, langs drukke straat maar parking voor 3 wagens voor de deur !
