Excellent”

Impressive building both inside and out. Set menu dinner with choice of 3 main courses. Good breakfast. Very heavy bulky dining room chairs, not easy for the elderly to move. Avoid bedrooms over the bar area if you want to sleep before midnight. Singer every night in bar . Rooms at the front have beautiful view of Oban bay.

Didnt think we got the executive double room we paid for. More like the Standard double room. Emailed several times but no response. We paid for dinner but wasnt informed what we got for that. we have a main meal only and a drink and they charged us for drinks.

Shocking service from William Stephen. Unwilling to help guests, pompous attitude. Should not be in hotel service. Shocking 2nd night's sleep due to building. Night Manager unable to help either. Poor WiFi.

Hotel From Hell”

Things went from bad to worse! Arrived at hotel and shown room without a cot for our 16month old even though this was pre-booked with the manager. Only to be told they couldn't provide one. After some harsh safety negotiations one was finally provided. Shower head was broken, shower thermostat was broken only way we could get a shower without scalding ourselves was turn on the hot bath tap too. Things got rapidly worse next morning though....no water at all! Nothing!! Went to reception to see about getting the basic hotel provision of running water. They couldn't fix it and weren't interested in providing anything so we could have a morning shower and even brush our teeth! Tried to complain and get some form of compensation. The manager was always conveniently not available and no one interested! The room was also filthy and the curtains torn and dripping off the curtain rail. Worst hotel I have ever been in my life and an utter disgraceful service! Avoid this hotel at all cost!

Hotel was overbooked, we were not alone in being moved to their sister hotel Queens. This was nowhere near as nice, no facilities. Hotel told us to blame the travel site as it was their fault!

A Nice hotell but the family rooms is like a motell in the us ”

Det er greit sted ca. 18 minutter å gå til fergen som drar over til isle of mull, var ikke helt ferdig med rommet til avtalt tidspunkt og når man var der, vi var plassert i et av familierommene som ligger bak hotellet rett ved siden av brannstasjonen, dette minner mer som et motell i USA. Stort rom men ganske fuktig siden de skrur av ovnene mellom besøkende, dette virker som er ganske normalt her borte i Skottland. Rommet vi fikk var det tapet en papirduk over for å skjule for innsyn. Med åpning under døren så man fikk ikke nattesro. Men selve hotellet er greit, trengs en oppussing.
