Kii-Katsuura is a small town, and the hotel's location is about 10min walk from Kumano Kotsu bus terminal. While it is a little bit off from the center, it's not a bad walk at all to the hotel. There is a curfew of 11 pm and also (common) bath curfew of 9 pm. There is no private/shared shower room so you'll have to go to the nearby paid bath house (which closes at 10 pm) if you missed the bath curfew.

It is close to train and bus station where you can find Kumano bus pass to travel around there. The hotel was a little bit old but guestroom was big and very clean. There is no private shower, only shared bathroom with hot tub available.
The staff there are so friendly and thoughtful, we've arrive at 11 in the morning which is not there check in time, so we just left our bag in the front desk. when we back to the hotel in the afternoon, just noticed that they already put our bags in our room. what a sweet detail!
From the soup on arrival, to the restaurant and activity recommendations, this place was spectacular. Though English wasn't spoken fluently, it didn't need to be because the hotel charmant represents the best in Japanese hospitality.
