"Pros: - Clean and well managed onsen with mountain view. - Good size of a room by Japanese hotel standards. (I took Japanese style with shared bath) - Extravagant dinner worth at least one try. - The staffs were nice and friendly. - Sharing of the local culture at certain nights. - Location is amazing, at a quiet town of Kaminishi (10-15 mins bus from Ainokura and Suganuma, also exactly half way from Takaoka to Shirakawago). Neutral : - The resort is a little old, but maintained properly. - Found one sting bug, no big deal, and the hotel have prepared sticky tapes in the room for you to trap them if required. It’s not the resort fault for those bugs to get in, especially the location is close to abundance of nature. - Abit of a hill climb to the resort (less than 10mins), not recommended if you have really huge baggages, unless going by car. I took it as a good exercise. Cons : - Overall price is a little steep, but much cheaper than staying in Shirakawago area. "
