Pros. Very convenient and accommodate, good food and friendly staff. Cons. I payed for parking tickets at the parking garage and didn't use any of them. I was hoping to get the different put twords my room at least.

Great location at sleepy Kakegawa. Walking distance to the Kakegawa Castle, loads of dining options (a lot didn't have English menus though), and Kakegawa Kachouen.

Great Onsen in Kakegawa!! ”
I really enjoyed the Hot SPA "Onsen" at the top floor of the hottel. Onsen is small, but very clean and good quality. i would like to stay at this hottel next time!

Brand New Hotel with Amazing hot spring”
Arrived late on the way from Tokyo to Nagoya. I always stay in Nagoya but wanted a bit of a change. The hotel is 5 mins walk from the bullet train station and has views of Kakegawa Castle. Dormy Inn are an unbeatable brand for value and quality and this hotel is brand new. All Dormy Inn have a hot spring in the hotel. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I will stay again. It makes a relaxing break from the busy centre of Nagoya.

If the room was bigger, Dormy Inn Express Kakegawa would be a 4 star hotel! With its interior details, amenities, and its near location to the train station, I love everything about it except the room size which was more comfortable if occupied by 1 person only.

best for relaxing and chill out ”
We stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights. We really enjoyed the super confi bed and the beautiful spa erea with the onsen´s. Kakegawa itself is not really that interessting next to the castel and the birdpark. Altough we liked the the stay in the beautiful, super clean hotel.

Great stay, good night”
Excellent. Stayed during a typhoon and watched the wind howl outside, pour rain, all from the comfort of a rooftop bath and my room. In the morning went running to Kakegawa castle (very near). Breakfast buffet was amazing, everything fresh and great selection. Staff was very friendly and hotel was new and clean. Will stay again.

no razors in bath”
OK but there were no razors in the bath.... plenty of shaving cream, but no razors..... how strange! Very different from other Dormy Inns around Japan

Was better, but now...”
Stay was alright, but used to be better. This time we had nonsmoking room next to smoking area and the room smelled really bad. Then we could also hear every conversation that went on in the smoking room...very thin walls. Also the bath was lovely, I saw some people (Japanese and foreign) with tattoos enjoying the bath which made me think the hotel (and general onsens in Japan) policy of no tattoos is WAY OUTDATED!! Especially with many foreign visitors at Dormy Inn and Olympics coming to Japan. This policy really should change soon. But the one thing that was bad about the bath was lack of razors. No razors yet tin of shaving cream at each stall. This was the first time I have stayed at a Dormy Inn that did not provide razors... new policy or lapse in management? Finally the breakfast... still pretty good value for money but I have noticed a quality slip in the past few years. The breakfast was still pretty goo

Beyond expectations”
A great experience in 2016 brought me back to this hotel. I was half expecting it be as good, and to my surprise, nothing changed since my last stay. The cleanliness was tip top. The breakfast was good, but I think more variety of dishes would have been great. The front desk was very friendly and quick to help. Will be back no doubt.

This is a step above most business hotels. Everything is newly refurbished, the beds are comfortable, the onsen is great, the breakfast is superb. It's close to many good food places and the castle. Parking cost 800 yen for a night.
