Good location and clean hotel”
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as the menu changes everyday. They have in house chefs that bake freshly made breads. Besides, the hotel provides a welcome bar that allows guests to enjoy unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for 2 hours everyday. The most exciting part is that we could enjoy hot springs too with alternate schedule for male and female. Regarding the hotel room size, the bathroom is quite small but still acceptable. Super hotel is highly recommended. You will enjoy your stay here.

Love most of the part of the hotel, great experience. The only part can be improved will be the spring bath, because male and female need to switch time slot, so you can’t rainy it anytime. But otherwise it’s all good!

Nice facility but cannot reach by taxi directly”
Hotel near Nishiki Market. Shopping and dining places are at walking distance. Only trouble is that taxi cannot stop in front of the hotel. Need to drop off at Kyoto Takashimaya and then walk 5 minutes to the hotel.

I was first time this hotel 5 nights. exceptional location where you can find everything you need or access to. near to the metro, bus stations. there are eatery, convenient stores and places to shop, department store near to the hotel (walking distance) just 2 minutes to walk to the famous nishiki market. Overall, the place is great. Staff is great, helpful and kind. Room is clean and comfortable with all the amenities I needed. The large TV facing the bed is superb. Check in check out is super easy. highly recommended.

A comfortable stay”
Great location; walking distance from most places such as Nishiki market and Gion. Room was comfortably big even though the toilets were on the smaller side. Netflix was available on the staff TV. We stayed as a couple and only one of us managed to use the onsen facilities because they switched the timings for male and female throughout the day. The free toiletries provided was a really nice touch too! Did not manage to try the breakfast as we slept in, but we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a value for money place to stay in Kyoto.

Loved our stay at this hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. It's in such a great location - close to Nishiki market and many great attractions. The onsen was also nice. Will definitely come back here again!

Wonderful hotel!”
Very well designed and comfortable, for a reasonable price including free breakfast. Location might seem inconvenient as it's far from Kyoto Station, but it's close to the Higashiyama area and immediately off a major shopping arcade. Hot spring is nice, although a single area with hours for men and women means it isn't always accessible. One tiny negative is that the sink in the room was very shallow, making it a bit inconvenient to use.

Great location and breakfast”
If you are looking for a good place in Kyoto city center with a good breakfast this is a great choice. If you are looking for an onsen, then keep reading. I arrived at 8pm and was told that I couldn’t use the onsen until 11pm. There is only one onsen and sometimes it is female and sometimes it is male (please check times with the hotel). Anyway I was looking forward to a soak after a day at work and ended up using the bath in the room. I went down to the onsen at 11pm and it was one large bath. Nothing special. Breakfast was really good (a bento at time of writing due to Covid-19)

Is a good hotel with a very good location BUT, I personally booked because the hot spring the problem is, there is one hot spring with diferent schedule for men and woman. All ok if wasn't because men has much more time ( the whole night from 23-6am). Other things like the change of breakfast I think is due to Corona so I'll not complain about that, but if you are a woman and you are booking specially for the hot spring... Nope

I liked my stay at Super Hotel Shijyo Kawaramachi Kyoto. It is conveniently located near the intersection of Kawaramachi dori and Shijo dori (with several bus lines). It is a quick walk to the Hankyu Kawaramachi station, Takashimaya Department Store, and various other shops, restaurants, etc. It is also close to tourist spots such as Pontocho, Gion district, and Nishiki Market. The room and bathroom were clean and breakfast is included in the price. There is also a hot spring on the premises as well as free internet and free short international phone calls.
