I enjoyed my stay at the New York Thien Phuc Hotel. The rooms were spacious, the AC worked perfectly and the bathroom very clean. The staff was also very nice and offered some nicely priced tours and bus tickets in the lobby. The only cons to staying here were the hard mattress (though that's common in most every hotel) and the trek up/down the five stories to get to/from our room. Not awful, but I'm not completely sure the lower levels were completely full either- we certainly didn't see that many people staying there. But the wifi worked perfectly and the hotel is situated in the backpackers area- near many restaurants, food stalls and only a 20-25 minute walk to the major sites (war museum, reunification palace, Notre dame, etc). I would stay here again when in ho chi minh!

Nice room in a good location”
new york thien phuc hotel is located in the backpacker's area which is full of all kinds of travel agencies and restaurants. we booked excursions though the new york thien phuc hotel which worked out very well and we got a good price. within 25 minutes' walk, you can get to the war museum and reunification palace- which is quite convenient for those one budget. the wifi worked well and the staff were nice- the only downside was the trek up five flights of stairs with our backpacks- but for the price, it's not an issue.

Perfect Place for HCMC”
The New York Thien Phuc Hotel was the perfect place for us to stay! If you're on a budget, but still want a nice room with aircon and breakfast, look no further. We spend a while searching through different hotels/hostels online and finally settled with a windowless double here. The price was very respectable and even included breakfast. The breakfast was very basic and only ran from 7am-9am, but you get what you pay for.. Still better than nothing! The location was perfect for us with bars and restaurants just outside the door. It's right in the thick of things, however we didn't hear any of the music being played once we were inside our room. The staff were very welcoming and attentive too! Helping us to find certain places and even telling us how much the taxi fair should cost to get there. Overall our short stay was well worth it and I would reccomend this to anyone.. It even has a lift!

Best hotel in Saigon!”
Great hotel in a great location at the heart of the backpacker area. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the street and the pagoda opposite where the monk would ring the bell for prayer every afternoon. Staff were really friendly and helpful and let us check in early when we arrived off the sleeper bus at 8am. Travel desk in reception arranged a private tour to Cu Chi and the guide was great and really helpful. Clean and spacious rooms with free wifi and mini bar prices were good also. Can't fault this hotel at all and will stay here again on our next trip to Vietnam. Not to be overlooked!

we paid very little for a good stay”
We booked a family rm for 3 with one double bed and one single bed. The rm is spacious and clean, toilet is good but I soon found out there is no hot water, anyway we didn't need it (the weather was kind of hot that day) so we didn't complain though. NY Thien Phuc locates right at the heart of backpacking, tourist area which never sleeps both day and night. Close to everything.

Can't beat this deal”
It's not 5-star, but it is an honest, decent, clean place in the centre of District 1. Many guesthouses charge more. I've used it on the previous 2 trips and will book again for the next. Staff are very helpful and easy-going. Laundry service is cheap and speedy. If you want better, there are plenty of places at $40+ per night, but I don't think you'll find better for under $20.

Close to everything”
The rooms were a litte smaller than what i expected but it was not at all bad. The facilities were quite good. The reception is friendly. breakfast is included in the price and the food was really nice. When you step out of the hotel you are faced with many bars and restaurants so you will never run out of things to do here. Good stay.

A nice friendly hotel, close to local restuarants and bars, I would stay there again,,, MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS AS WITH A LOT OF HOTELS IN VIETNAM, I BOOKED A Superior room with a Balcony BUT HAD TO STAY IN ANOTHER ROOM FOR THE FIRST NIGHT AND THAT IS NOT GOOD !!!!! They told me that the other room was more expensive and that they would not charge me but to me the room was not better than the Superior... I WOULD NOT HAVE PAYED EXTRA IF THEY HAD ASKED ME TO DO SO

A nice hotel in a GREAT location”
First, i reserved the standard room with one bed, but the room was too small so i asked to change to a double beds room and i was pretty satified with it. Location is a walking distance from Ben Thanh Market. Many tour agencies are next door. All rooms has a small refridgerator which is very important for me because i stored my favorite food and fruits there. Will definitely stay here again if they continue to offer great deals.

Very Reasonably Priced Hotel in Great Location”
The hotel has all the amentities that you would expect at a hotel in this price range. The rooms were recently renovated and spacious. The rooms facing the street have balconies that you can sit on and people watch. The only problem we had with our stay is the hotel can get pretty noisy in the evening, because there are THREE bars situated right next to the hotel. The noise tends to die down around 1 AM. So, if you are a light sleeper and get to bed early, I would recommend staying elsewhere.
