Great Location, Great value for money”

For the price you pay, this hotel is great value. The rooms and clean and big complete with mini bar and aircon. It was an easy walk to the pier to do sightseeing tours and to the main street where due to new year, there was an amazing display of flowers. My Tho is overlooked by travellers and passed through simply to do a river tour and move on. Therefore it can be difficult to communicate with locals as they do not speak english. The staff were very friendly at the hotel as were the local people I met, however as stated..did not speak great english. The only main downside to this hotel is that there is no restaurant or food available so you need to go looking yourself..but hey..that can be an adventure in itself.

Conference hotel”

bit of an odd hotel, obviously set up to serve as a conference facility for the nearby governmental buildings. my tho is a bit of an odd town for tourists - many visit on mekong day trips, but few seem to stay and the hotel facilities reflect this. it feels very functional and communist, which is fine if you are staying one night, but rather souless if you want to stay any longer. the room was large, tidy and quite (the hotel seemd to be empty apart form us). the only noise was created by the forecourt restaurant which pops up for breakfast and dinner. level of english spoken by the staff was not great, but that is to be expected in this type of town. didn't eat there so can't comment on food.

Very warm hearted people”

The reception desk team were very friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to get to mingle and have fun with many of them. As far as the hotel room is concerned, VERY BIG for what you are paying for. The hotel attendants could do better with a smile! Some mosquitoes but that is all due to season/weather variation. Nevertheless, this is the one of the very best hotels I have stayed at.

Great location for market & tour boat”

Ok the hotel is not excellent, far from it, though, it is acceptable and clean enough for 1 night sleep. The staff was polite but very limited in English. They do their best to understand you and respond though. The bed was hard but clean, I would not say as much of the carpet or the walls with moisture spots. So if you are sensitive to that pick another place, otherwise, you may enjoy the perfectly located area for visiting the market or hoping on a boat trip. On the food side, breakfast is fully local, you may get omelette but don't expect continental stuff. For the dinner, you may appreciate the outside cheap street-like restaurant of the parking lot. Surprising but very good.

Not a great experience but for a one night transit it was OK. Food in the courtyard restaurant is good... The hotel is typically government-run and reminded me a lot of my 1990s travels in VN.

Weird vibe! It's a conference place”

Staff was rude, but not to Vietnamese people... Everything old but it was clean. No safe. It felt as if we were in a hospital or something like that, probaly because it is a conference hotel and not suited for tourists. Wierd vibe, I did not like it, glad it was just for one night. However, if you just need to stay one night it is o.k. Breakfast was fine.

Hotel du gouvernement , bon rapport qualité prix , par contre les petit déjeuner sont uniquement vietnamiens ( pas de lait, de confiture, de céréales) Le personnel ne parle que très peu l'anglais .

Hôtel correct mais sans charme. a l'accueil on parle à peine anglais. Déjeuner uniquement asiatique. chambre propre mais sans attrait.

Accueil déplorable Les agents ne parlent pas Anglais du tout, nous n'avons même pas réussi à nous faire comprendre pour obtenir un morceau de pain au petit déjeuner. Clientèle 100 % Vietnamienne, hôtel sans charme et démodé. Rien à faire à MY THO à part tomber entre les pattes des rabatteurs de l'office du tourisme pour la visite (au pas de charge) de l'île la plus proche.

Ein staatlich geführes Hotel, saubere Zimmer aber schon etwas abgewohnt, Frühstück für deutsch Verhältnisse etwas rahr. Man hat die Auswahl zwischen Omlet mit Brötchen oder einer Nudelsuppe. Die Frühstückszeit endet um 8.30Uhr. Als nichts mit ausschlafen, wenn man das Frühstück noch minehmen möchte.

soddifacente e silenziosa la camera e la pulizia, scarso il break-fast ma non il venerdì , c'è il buffet, ma solo il venerdì. il personale non parla altra lingua che il viet, solo la reception può darti una mano alle tue domande. ideale se vuoi visitare le 4 isole del mekong con tutta calma

The Best in My Tho”

Non volevamo avere un esperienza troppo turistica quindi abbiamo declinato tutte le offerte di tour da Saigon e abbiamo deciso di dormire una notte a My Tho; quando mai! L'albergo è sicuramente il migliore che c'è in città ma non ci vuole molto. Vecchio casermone in stile sovietico con guardie militari all'esterno. Si sente spesso l'odore del cibo che viene preparato nel loro "ristorante" e la pulizia non è proprio il massimo. Il personale non parla nemmeno due parole di inglese quindi la comunicazione può essere difficoltosa.
