Beautiful Onsen by the River outside Niseko town”
Enjoyable experience. Staff both English & Japanese speaking were friendly & hospitable, especially managers Mr Tokuthi &Mr. Kawamura. Beautifully Okabe designed lobby with fireplace( which were used later for toasting marshmallows & after dinner drinks. Our Kaseki dinner, was the finest we had in an Onsen . Chef was careful selecting seasonal local ingredients(wagyu beef included). Standard western style rooms are basic onsen style, with small ensuite bathrooms & a massage chair . Additional Notes: 1) staff very punctual. On check ibook dinner time & @ dinner for breakfast , try not to b late as they have 2 seatings 2)low floor standard rooms have small windows by river & you can hear the sound of the river . We stayed at 08. Suggest upgrade to higher category & floor with full length windows . 3) not necessary to pay for onsen room. A seperate private onsen can be booked at minimal charge 4) communal female & male onsen well patronised before breakfast & dinner

Best of the best except the location”
The bed is very good. Room is also very good. Free drinks provide in the bar including Nikka wisky (Better quality than Nikka Small Malt), house win and a long range of drink list. Food quality top top. Public SPA always no people. Both me and my wife used 3 times and we did not meet any one there. Location is the major issue. Limited shuttle to ski resort. A great choice if you drive on your own or mainly go there for relaxing.

Location slightly out of the way, but that would be easily solved if one was driving. Meals and Onsen was excellent and the free flow bar was top notch

Ok stay”
Cons: -Too far from most ski hills and Hirafu village. You really need a car for variety. -very limited shuttle trips to ski resorts. No shuttle service for night skiing. Taxi is very costly there. -a bit run down in the plumbing side. Some taps have no hot water and our toilet and shower had a flooding issue one night. Stayed in same room the next day after they fixed it, however the noise in the plumbing and the smells that occasionally comes out was disgusting. -the same dining room given to us every morning and night had a very obvious humming noise, no window and smells of gasoline. We complained few days later and had it changed. - Breakfast is pretty much the same stuff every morning. -no laundry facilities to wash our clothes after skiing. - some of e staff were pretty stern and unfriendly. Pros: - peaceful and isolated environment by a nice river. -very impressively presented Kaiseki set dinner every night, Very fresh sashimi and food in general. -nice lounge

Excellent Hospitality”
I stayed only one night at the hotel because it was fully booked the night before and after. Moku No Sho was amazing. When you step into the hotel, you will feel that it has got a very nice charateristic. You had to remove your shoes at the front door and you will walk around the hotel wearing socks only. This gave me a great sense of cleaniness of the hotel. The meals provided were really amazing, every single dish was very detailed and tasty. This hotel only have two dozen rooms in total, you will not feel packed at all; and also, it is very quiet at all time. The room is very spacious. I had booked the room with the private onsen, I would totoally recommend this to anybody going there. I loved it when snow is blowing in your face while you are sitting in the warm hot spring enjoying the very nice view outside. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. I'd wish I could have stayed here a little longer. I will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Our best hotel stay ever!”
Spent our wedding anniversary at this hotel. Moku-No-Sho hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere. Very secluded place ensuring all guest has their own privacy especially when using the onsen in the room. Kaiseki dinner was wonderful with fresh ingredients presented in perfection. Price is definitely on the steep side but my wife was very pleased!

The best experience ever!”
I went to Niseko for ski and 'onsen' (hot spring) experience. The hotel is not a preferable destination for skiers as it is not next to the ski lifts (about 20mins by shuttle). However, I wouldn't change for any other hotel. Everything there was superb. The daily rates were about US$550 for a double room but included multi course Japanese breakfast and dinner, and full access to the hotel's spa equipped with sauna, Japanese showers, and hot spring pools (internal and external). It absolutely great value for money. If you want to be pampered, have a luxurious ski experience or even a nice time with a companion go for it with your eyes closed. Three points to consider: -Most of the staff speak very little English. But don't feel discouraged: they will move mountains to understand you and in the end you will get what you want. They are very polite, attentive, competent and kind even for Japanese standards. -By default the hotel will serve you Japanese breakfast and dinner in private rooms. The is the option of Western menus which I tried once for breakfast. It's not bad, but definitely not as good as the Japanese meals. Even if you don't want fish and a bowl of rice in the morning just give it a try. You won't regret it. -Finally, Niseko is 3.5h by bus from CTS Airport. The hotel can recommend some bus liners that can drop you close the hotel, and from there they will send a shuttle to pick you up. The buses work very well and are very convenient. Don't drive during winter if you are not an experienced winter driver as it is truly dangerous.

The best hotel I ever stay”
I stayed 2 nights with my husband for our honeymoon. I would like to give this hotel 10 out of 10. This is the great hotel for relaxing and enjoying the nature. The service was excellent from all of staffs. They are sincere, polite and helpful. The price of hotel is quite high but the things that you will get is really worthing the price. The room price including breakfast and dinner which are very fine quality food. Besides, they serve us in the private room which is very special and we can enjoy every single moment. We are so impressed with the service from every staffs. Mu husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. We choose the room with private bath( Onsen) in room. This is our best time because everything is so well prepared in room. We feel very comfy and feel like home. I would recommend this place for couples or family. This made us an unforgettable trip in Niseko town.

Really nice onsen!”
We stayed here for 1 night after a week of snowboarding in Niseko. The room was amazing (we went with the Western style room with our own outdoor onsen), it was huge and even had a massage chair. The food was pretty ridiculous too!

Great place to relax”
A bit off the normal Skiing resorts, this very cozy and special place is hidden. We he a room with private onsen and can recommend this. Nice fireplace for the evenings, good food and also a nice public onsen is available. Very attentive service. For western visitors it should be highlighted that there are only Japanese breakfast and dinner options. I would have appreciated some different breakfast options if we would have stayed longer than three days. With a car it was no problem to reach the skiing resorts in a few minutes. They also offer a bus and have drying facilities available. Perfect stay! Thank you!

experience beyond expectation ”
It was a long bus journey getting there but the entire experience was definitely worth it. Not wearing shoes from the lobby is a refreshing change. The front desk, lounge with the fireplace was not like anything we had expected. Roasting marshmallows was something unexpected but a nice touch. Stepping into the room was another pleasant surprise- spacious comfortable with sounds of nature and more. Outdoor attached onsen was a wow. Fantastic food, really good modern presentation unlike other onsen we have been to. All staff were commendable in their service delivery. we can't wait to be back. Unparalleled experience.

Top notch accommodation”
You can't get better than this! Around 15 minutes drive from Hirafu, this is a great place to relax after some intensive skiing. The facility and service is probably the best that Niseko got to offer. Open air hot spring during a snowy winter at this hotel was definitely the highlight of my whole trip.
