Good value close to CBD”
This hotel is a little dated by modern standards, but it has a lot of character. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room I had was clean and tidy with an extremely comfortable bed. The only drawback that I noticed was a rattling sash window; but was informed that this was being addressed; and perhaps it might be worthwhile to install a power outlet in the bathroom for a shaver/hair dryer. Overall I was well pleased with the accommodation, would happily stay there again and recommend it to my friends

Value for Money”
I found the Albion to be perfect for what we needed and paid for!! The staff were helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The room was clean and comfortable, the bar was awesome we had a couple of meals there and were not disappointed. Let's face it people how much time do you actually spend in your room while on holiday, as long as it's a clean room with a bed, hot shower and toilet it's happy days! Thanks guys!!!

Very nice staff, managing to offer us an early check in at 8am even if we didn’t request for it. The room are a bit old fashioned but confortable. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Auckland. Definitely recommended for a night stop in Auckland.

Room got a little warm (summer). Aircon would be great but yknow what- I had the best time. The staff, the history, location, ground floor pub with meals, friendly locals, Amazing rock posters everywhere. Short walk to infamous K road or the harbour.

Simple and clean, nice building above a pub. Surprisingly little noise, we were on the 3rd floor and no issues with pub noise. It’s a nice clean casual bar downstairs. If we changed anything it would be if the pub kitchen opened a little later.

Great location! Easy access to the main sights in Auckland. I booked a triple room because it saved carrying my luggage upstairs, but the receptionist carried it up for me! Comfortable beds and modest facilities. I stayed here to round off my Contiki trip and would recommend.

Budget old style stay”
During the first lock down, booked standard double room for 1 night, late night check in. Old style venue, accommodation upstairs, Bar & Restaurant downstairs. One other couple and ourselves were the only guests for the night so had a whole level to ourselves! Staff were friendly and helpful, even upgraded us to the "honeymoon suite" for free! Had no idea there was such a room. This room is huge! Has similar facilities and amenities. Shower over large spa bath surprised me. Complimentary toiletries. King size bed. Bedding and pillows are super comfortable. Sitting area with 2 Comfy chairs and side table. Decent TV and large desk/ workspace area. No tea/coffee making or microwave. If you love the sleek, clean & modern feel of a room, with crisp bedding and comforts of air con/ heat pump & technology, this is not the place for you.

This hotel is in a Victorian building above a pub. There is no lift. No room service but it’s location is right next to the Sky convention centre, so central to everything. The facilities are clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Very basic accommodation in cute, historical pub. No heating, air conditioning or elevators. Comfortable beds with nice, clean linen. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food at good prices. Right next to central bus station.

It is an old hotel right in the city centre, s such we were surprised at the value for money, even down to the cost of a drink. Do not expect chandaliers or the tv to work perfectly but everything was clean, beds comfortable, staff very freindly, helpful and the shower head may have been installed for a hobit but everything worked - ask and you shall receive - be it a hair drier or a place to go. Good bar and food very nice.

It was not as good as picture. Receiption was closed but bar staff helped check in.friendly staff. The room was tiny, no hair dryer and whenever truck or bus stops, the window and wall shaked. Very noisy

good central Hotel but as we are both over 70 and were on the 2nd floor and no lift unless we were on 1st floor we would not use this hotel again as bags are a nightmare.
