I was suprised, the beds are spacious, rooms big, toilets clean, and includes breakfast, 2 min walk to Manchester picaddilly train station, i recommend it.

The staff was helpful, rooms though small were quiet and clean, not stuffy, main toilets and baths were big and clean. Location is in heart of city, just opposite to Piccadilly railway station. Only minor issues were a noisy door that would wake other roommates, the bath cubicle flooding and toilet paper running out.

The best hostel in the city. The staff were good. The place is clean and well-maintained. The free breakfast was also good.

For £20/night in the center of Manchester you can't really get better value. I was staying in room 8 and the room is directly in front of a huge air conditioning / ventilation unit of another apartment / building. The ventilation unit was so loud that I couldn't fall asleep without Ambien. The rooms also lack a storage unit, although one can store their luggage at the reception, for free if I'm not mistaken. The common area is very uncosy as it is basically part of the convenience store where the reception is located. The included breakfast is very basic: dairy milk, cereal, toast, margarine, jam and bananas.

no lockers, long-time residents make this place quite unfriendly, you seem to be a stranger to them, but the staff tries to be nice although there is no space to move in the bedroom ( they manage to put 14 beds in 15 square meters !)

There isn't any lockers for each traveler to use in the dormitory. The bathrooms are shared with other gender. There isn't any hair dryer provided in the bathroom.

Location is the only redeeming feature. Firstly the key to my room didn't work the two times I was given one. Got into the room, someone was in my bed. Moved to another room - lift was broken so had to go up a long flight of stairs. Both rooms smelled bad - I asked for air freshener but they said no as people might be allergic (which implies they never freshen the room). Tried to change to another room but both the top bunks of the alternative beds I was shown had a broken rail barrier that stops one from rolling off and causing serious injury. I stayed from Friday till Monday. For some reason they thought I was checking out Sunday, did not call me to ask, so I found my belongings moved around and things in a black bag. Hostel has a shop - wanted to buy a pack of crisps. Was told a different price to the price listed Do not usually leave reviews even when an accomodation doesnt totally meet my standard but this was utterly abysmal - if I was staying longer, I would have just cancelled and left. Absolutely not the way to run a business. Staff seemed unbothered and even smirking at times.

It's in front of Piccadilly Station but it's not worth it. The beds were uncomfortable and the bedrooms got two bathrooms without toilets, so you have to go upstairs to use the toilet (which wasn't clean). I stayed three nights and the bathrooms were never cleaned. They allow people to smoke and drink inside the bedrooms, and they also came drunk.

No locked storage in rooms, had to sleep with my bag in the bed. Smell was not great and a lot of broken things (toilet, lift). Whole place looked grimey not worth more that £10 a night and they charge way more that that on a weekend.

Location was good right in central manchester. Price wasn't so cheap for a hostel, but for such an expensive city it's cheap. Staff were ok (although their English speaking isn't 100%). But, everything was broken (lift, washing machine, cooker, shower room door etc). I'm surprised there actually was a lift to be honest though and it looked quite fancy and out of place in the otherwise run down miserable building, but of course it didn't work so it blended right in. The fridge was too small for the amount of guests so there was less than no room in it. Also the rooms are packed with beds like sardines, with no space for luggage. The whole place just gave off a depressing vibe to me which I can't fully explain. There was nothing majorly bad about it though and the staff were fine like I said. I've had much nicer stays elsewhere though

The room was so compact and the ventilation was not good. The only upside was the location and the rest was bad. Toilet was not cleaned and shower room cannot be locked
