Quiet and comfortable accommodation”
The first thing I was worried about when choosing a travel destination was bugs. Since the hotel is near the mangrove forest and the Philippines is known for being nature-friendly, I was quite concerned. However, there were surprisingly no bugs, even when we went to the mangrove forest. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and immediately attended to our needs. The accommodation was neat and clean, and we especially liked the spacious pool. The highlight of our family's trip was the day trip to South Farm. For a fee of 250, we could take a tuk-tuk and use all the facilities inside South Farm. The only downside was that the hotel is not located on the main street of Alona Beach, so we had to take a tuk-tuk to eat or get a massage. There is only one option for that. Of course, there is also the nearby Moalboal, but it seemed to have no function beyond being a restaurant. Haha. It didn't matter to us since we were on a family trip, but young couples might want to take note.

Quiet swimming pool, impressive mangrove forest path”
I stayed at North Zen Villa for 2 nights during my 3-day stay in Bohol after reading a review that it was quiet and nice. The accommodation was really pleasant and nice. It was a detached house, so I never heard any noise and except for the swimming pool, I don't think I ever met anyone. I didn't know breakfast was included, but I had it and they brought it to my room, so I ate it on the balcony with a nice view. All the staff were really friendly and I really want to stay at North Zen Villa again when I go to Bohol! The swimming pool was really clean and luckily I was able to do sunset yoga on (Friday, Saturday) which was an unforgettable experience! If I go to Bohol again, I will definitely come back here! The mangrove forest path at sunset is really cool!

location -it’s a bit far from alona beach. But close to a big mall. It’s a great place to enjoy the nature. We can hear the sound of the bird every moment. It refresh our soul, Great! -sunset view is stunning Staff -all staffs are very nice, friendly, polite. Facilities -very big and nice swimming pool. I miss it very much. -spa is cheap but nice. Food -nice breakfast. -recommend the restaurant next to the resort called La Vara. We had dinner there. We had the best food there during our Bohol trip. I wish to bring my family here next time!

Great Accommodation”
I've stayed at many good hotels, but for some reason, North Zen Villa was the most memorable. The room was clean, and the staff were especially friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable. There's also a bamboo bridge next to the hotel, which was great for morning and evening walks. Every space was spacious and nice. The breakfast was a bit divisive, but it was the best food I've had in the Philippines. It's made with mild seasoning and healthy ingredients, so it's perfect for those who are tired of the stimulating Filipino food. I highly recommend this hotel. It's about a 10-minute drive from Alona Beach, but there are many tuk-tuks passing by, so it's not inconvenient. I plan to stay here again next time.

Eco friendly calm villa”
So lovely room and nice forest view. The mangrove forest was really really nice it was worth to visit. And food was also very good. It’s kind of fusion dining. Very health and good little bit expensive. 12hours happy hour also nice. But staffs were very slow and forgot many things. If staffs are not forget, you can get the welcome drink service. But some guests didnt get the service because staff forget that. There was no towels in our room. So we asked few times it took many hours to get the towels. And always lacked of the towel in the swimming pool. And our breakfast order was always wrong. We didn’t understand we checked our menu before the day. But every morning we had to wait to get right menu. And very very slow bartender.

Booked for a night stay in Bohol and found this Villa hotel! I’m glad i did. Our room was upgraded, the area is definitely giving you the farm/villa vibes and you have an option to visit their resort at south palms. I just wished we had more time. I will definitely be back. Cons: Food is amazing but they’re really expensive. So, if it’s gonna be barkada or family trip. Ensure that you’ll have extras for large group meals or dining out earlier cause foods nearby closes early. Food ranges from 350+-1k. Just an fyi. Overall, we had an amazing stay. The staffs are friendly and we were able to check in earlier. Thank you North Zen. ♥️

My family and I spent a wonderful week at North Zen Villas. It was a small resort which meant we did not get bombarded by a lot of people so it was very family-friends. The mangrove forest is beautiful and I'm glad that it's being cared for and supported by the local community. I would definitely recommend!

We had a good stay here at North Zen Villas! The staffs are friendly and very accommodating. They even helped my bf on his 💍 proposal for me. :) You can have a good walk at Mangrove. They also have yoga there! Last thing I loved the most is their foods!!! 1000000/10 will definitely go back here once we go to Bohol again.

Its was the perfect experience with our family when we stayed in this hotel. Big room, clean bathroom, nice breakfast, friendly staff,... We took a walk into the mangrove in the morning and it was amazing. By the way, u should try to have dinner in the restaurant. Food was nice there.

Fantastic resort in every sense. 5 minutes away from Alona beach. I’m glad. I don’t know who would stay in Alona. Dirty, busy and full of tourist traps… NZ has a sister hotel South Palm it is a dream hotel on the water. You are allowed to spend the day there. Everything was excellent. You do have to have a scooter otherwise you are going no where. But that is normal

Hidden gem”
North Zen was tucked away in a less popular area in Bohol. THose looking to be close to the action may find it a bit inconvenient but if you're looking for a nice quiet place to relax, it's the perfect place. The facilities were great and the staff was amazingly helpful. I would recommend for anyone!
