I usually stay in an AirBnb when I travel for pleasure, but everyone recommended I stay in a hostel in Tokyo. Nui was such a lovely experience!! I highly recommend it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, amenities are great and the location is perfect. I loved having breakfast each morning with the best lattes, then capping my night with a drink at the bar before bed. I can’t recommend enough!

One of the Best”
Lovely, affordable hostel located in the middle of one of the best places in Tokyo. The vibe at the bar was amazing and every single person working there that my boyfriend and I met/chatted with were all incredibly warm and friendly. We were on a staycation and only stayed for a night, but we definitely hope to be back sometime in the near future!

This is a nice hostel to stay at. The price is good, it is clean, the food and bar are good, and the staff is nice. It is relatively close to metro though it is not particularly close to any major sights and the nearest metro station sits a little strange on the subway line to get to major points. Other than that, would recommend.

Staff are very nice and helpful. They speak English well. Hostel is on riverside that I like. Little far from subway station. Shared bathroom and rest room on the same floor are convenient. But some rest rooms have little bad smell, need to improve this point.

Nui has a unique style of interiors. Could have a chat with other travellors. Staffs are very kind and friendly. This was my first time to stay at Guest House and I really enjoyed it. But I would like to suggest put some hooks or hangers on the wall in the washstand area. I had to hold my towels while brushing my teeth & washing my face. it was very hard to hold towels and other stuff.

A gem of a find!”
Living in Kobe, we wanted to find an inexpensive place to stay in Tokyo, as our older kids from the States were visiting us for the holidays. I found Nui Hostel & Bar Lounge and what a find it was!! Since we were five, and it was the holidays, we stayed in the dormitory, which was clean and for the most part, quiet. The hostel is ideally located, we had a lovely view of the Sumida River, the staff were incredibly helpful recommending places to eat and things to see in the area and the lounge area, with its food and drinks was incredible! Since we spent most of our days out and about in Tokyo, the hostel was an amazing deal! I would recommend it to anyone who is coming to Tokyo and would like an inexpensive, but funky place to stay -

Best experience ever!”
My stay at Nui was great! First of all, the location was just a 5 minute walk from the closest train station. It's in the quieter side of Tokyo, around 30-40 minutes from Tokyo Station, which might not be for everyone. But I thought the trip out was worth it, specially with what you get at the hostel. Accommodations were simple, but clean. I stayed at a mixed dorm room and the bunk beds were comfortable. The shared bathroom and toilets, were also clean and I have nothing to complain about. Towels are available (for a small price) at reception. The bar was great! You have a nice mix of locals who swing by for drinks after work and of course fellow travelers who are there to wind-down after a whole day's worth of seeing the city. A great place to hang out! I think the best part about Nui however, was the staff. They were some of the kindest people I've met anywhere, compared to hotels (even big chain hotels) I've stayed around the world. Very accomodating and willing to help you out in every way they can. This is the reason I cannot but help give Nui high marks because aside from a comfortable place to stay, you have staff who make you feel at home.

I have visited many different hostels during my stays in Tokyo, Nui is one of the best in terms of quiality of intstalations and services, the common area is ideal for planning your trip, studying, reading or working whatever is your personal case. Also for the ones who like to prepare their own meals they have a fully functional kitchen and prepare delicious and affordable food at their restaurant / bar. The staff are attentive and helpful and they really keep the instalations clean. Location is not the best but is quiet, with river views and close to main tourist attractions. Thanks Nui. A great design hostel”
I'd highly recommend Nui. Stayed here for over a week, and it spoilt me for the rest of my hostel/guesthouse stays. The hostel is clean, comfortable and well-thought out, with windows and space in the dorms. The common area upstairs is just beautiful. The bar lounge downstairs is also well-designed and very trendy, with decently priced drinks. The young staff is friendly and very cool. Great hostel.

I stayed for 4 nights in Tokyo.. During that time, I stayed in Nui for 2 nights. It was excellent choice to me. Very kind staffs and clean room. But the location is not near from big city places, I think 2 nights were enough to have travel in Tokyo. I stayed in another hostel near to Tokyo for another 2 nights.

Rustic, creative hostel with alotta 'cool points'”
Nui is a quaint and rustic joint that gives the hostel a cool factor. Cafe and bar concept on the first level and lodging above it made the hostel a really awesome place to hangout for locals and foreigners alike. It is also just a 3 min walk away from Kuramae station and it has a common room (6th floor) with adequate amenities to settle one's needs. Will definitely be back!

this was a hostel with a lot of character - transformed warehouse space; fantastic bar-lobby and cafe / kitchen facilities with industrial chic aesthetic. crowd tended on the hipster side. stayed in a mixed bunk room - clean, OK spacious, for Tokyo, with privacy curtains and individual reading lamps. location one of the best within the asakusa district with easy access two 2 subway lines, one. being the pretty useful Oedo line

As a regular hostel, Nui.Tokyo is quite typical fare for Tokyo in that it offers clean, sparse dormitory hostel rooms for good value. However, one thing that sets it apart from the other selections of hostels in the area is the very modern, chic bar and lounge that operates in the lobby of the hostel area- the hostel is housed in a previous toy-factory and has been renovated and upgraded for current usage. As such, the ambiance includes concrete walls, high ceilings and a very modernist aesthetic. Attentive and professional bar and food bar staff. A great place to lounge and enjoy food/drink after a long-day of Tokyo sightseeing. The coffee/pastry options in the morning are also delicious and affordable.

This place is awesome to stay at. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Any help you might need they are willing to assist you with. The rooms are really clean and the place has a modern/trendy look. I loved staying at this hostel. The food from the bar is great too! Showers are hot and have amazing pressure. Great place! Ill stay there again on my next trip to Tokyo no question! It was also really easy to meet people if you wanted to in the bar and on the 6th floor kitchen/library. Wifi throughout! Great, great, great place!!!! :) The restaurant next door is really tasty too, make sure to try it out! !

Foreigner Friendly”
The hostel is near the subway and their lounge at the top floor is the best spot to meet new people from around the world travelling to Tokyo to tour. One night during my friend and I's stay, we had a table gettogether with tourists from Korea, Europe and US and there were a lot of sharing of cultures and exchanges of information about Tokyo. I think that was one of the highlights of our entire trip!

So sad that I don't have a chance to stay in Nui due to my passport expired but my fd went there as original plan and she told me that the hostel is very great and very nice design. Also, the staff is very friendly and make her feel like home . I must stay there in next Jan ! See u soon ! Nui!
