Enjoyable first trip to The Gambia.”

I liked the room and the staff, particularly Malo who was so helpful. The kitchen and bar staff were helpful and friendly Paula, lovely lady is overworked and not receiving the support of her management team. Proximity to the seaside, taxis, weather , friendliness great.
The area around the pool, and the pool itself are worn out. The breakfast service needed some attention! Safe was not bolted down! The Indian party was akin to hooliganism, badly behaved children and parents, it overspilt into the pool area, there was rubbish and purple paint everywhere and guests were unable to use the facilities. I would have thrown them out.

Well positioned for visits to the Tanji Bird Reserve (about 6km). Pleasant, friendly staff.
There was a smell of damp and mould in the entrance area to the room. The bed sheets were clean, but somewhat stained. When exiting the parking area to the road, the gatekeeper failed to secure the door which swung back and hot my vehicle.

The hotel manager made our stay so wonderful. She helped us when our flight was first delayed and then cancelled. She really cared for her guests and made the place feel more like a homestay than a hotel.

Little paradise”

The hotel is on a very nice location! Close to a quiet beach. (So much better then the crouded beaches in the north) Staff is great. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Good wifi everywhere! Swimming pool is nice with good sunbeds, towels provided. Good breakfast and restaurant. The best hotel we had on our two week trip.

The best hotel we stayed in in Gambia out of all 6 hotels.”

The hotel was well-maintained and tastefully decorated. We loved the British red traditional phone box and post box out the front of the hotel the post box was also in operation, which was really handy to send postcards home. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, there was also a fridge and kettle in the room which came in handy. There was a really nice swimming pool in the center of the hotel, and it also had well maintained gardens all the way down to the beach. Which was only a 3 minutes walk away. The hotel bar was nice and full of character with a good wine list. Paula, the manager couldn’t do enough for us. She was lovely. All the other staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. Plenty of variety and good quality with fresh juices and ground freshly brewed coffee which was a brewing ready for us when we got to the breakfast room every morning. I’ll definitely be returning to this hotel in the near future. Many thanks. Sam and Emily. Wales - UK
There was a miserable and unfriendly family there that kept whingeing about things that really didn’t need whinging about. They also kept calling noodles, Chinese spaghetti, which was annoying but funny!😂 You get people like that everywhere though. That’s not a negative on the hotel.

The staff was extremely accommodating. due to flight delays we arrived quite late, but we were well greeted for our transport from the airport, and we’ll taken care of upon our 1 am arrival. And on the morning of our departure we had an early connection for a booked tour but the staff was able to arrange for an early breakfast for us.

The pool was great ..all the staff were great they always had a big smile and were very welcoming . The chef is fantastic..breakfast is simple but they will cook your eggs anyway you want. Many areas of the hotel are showing its age but everything is very clean .A very nice gazebo at the back of the property was our favorite place to sit .The monkeys visit the property often and are a joy to watch . Paula the manager is very friendly and accommodating and allowed a late checkout ..and Burty the hotel mascot is the cutest little puppy . Will definately be returning .
There was nothing we didnt like . But the safes in the room didnt work .

- comfortable room with lots of space - the Hotel is just at the Beach - nice host and staff - offer good tours - is not in the touristic area, so you will experience the real Gambia
- sometimes power outage - not all power sockets work (some have loose contact)

Hotel Prices Guest house Feel.”

WiFi and Electric very good. Staff Malan and Amie excellent. Rooms are comfortable.Aircon is good.
Transfer cost €25 awful quote for distance 1 way to airport of 15-20 mins.Isolated from local shops.A large guest house that attempts to be a hotel.Prices at bar and menu reflect this.Limited to No channels in room during my stay.Place appears like an English large family home/ guest house. Beach inaccessible roads access roads not good.Menu prices of the scale No 24 hour service like a hotel. For a Tuley Gambian experience plenty other locations are better.Balcony very narrow and knees touch barrier.Aircon leaks onto that area constantly big slip hazard. Not suitable for children. POOL is also very deep.Over all feel Private home attempting to be a hotel.Not quite there for me as a regular visitor to Gambia 15 years 3-4 times a year.

- my hotel room wasn’t ready upon my arrival (at 6pm) - very poor cleanliness - no one came to clean to the room during the stay (even though we proceeded as asked by the staff to leave the key room in a box at the lobby) - towels and bed linens full of stains and ripped - in the hotel’s Booking.com page doesn’t state they only take cash nor did they mentioned upon check in, and I was only told that at my last night (at 9pm)

Helpful staff and big room”

The room was big with excellent Wi-Fi. The garden was quite nice, and it was a short (10-min) walk to the beach. The lunchtime pizza was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed me to stay for a later checkout.
I arrived late at night and it was difficult to rouse the night-time porter/guard to let me in. I had to wait a very long time for my lunchtime pizza.

All around this is a terrific option! The staff were fantastic and all amenities including great wifi, a swimming pool, a pool/ snooker table and great pizzas make for a good stay. Our 2nd floor large room was excellent. Thanks Paula and team!

A modern beachside hotel with friendly staff”

The room is huge, good food at the restaurant, and the location is close to the beach, just a short walk downhill (and uphill on the way back). The manager was so sweet. She called us a driver for a trip to the nearby sights. The hotel accepts euros as well as dalasi. Late checkout was available for our midnight flight home. Thank you!
Although dinner was good, the kitchen would take a long time to make it. We had to wait for over an hour for food to come out (on two separate evenings). Breakfast was just OK, hostel quality. No local beer at the bar (only Sagres from Portugal was available).
